The Avalonian Empire has stood the test of time for just under six hundred years, (598 to be exact) however, it has only existed in its continent-wide domination status for three hundred and fifty. And it was not originally called that, it was formerly named the 'Etherian Empire' prior to dominating the entire Continent of Avalon.

The Etherian Empire originally controlled the center-most point of the continent, with multiple neighboring nations. They suffered from multiple raids from neighboring nations due to their high mountain ranges containing vast quantities of metal and their pockets of greenery having such rich soil that crops grew incredibly well. With multiple nations at their front, they had no choice but to try and militarize, but they couldn't hold off everyone and would suffer from sacking after sacking, enduring raid after raid. Eventually, they had barely anything left. The nation began to relocate, using the mountain ranges they had an insane plan in mind. The nation dwindled, little by little until it seemed like the Ethernian Empire had simply wasted away from all the raiding, and new forces would move into the lands as they fell away.

But in reality, the Empire had been relocating. Using the mountain ranges highest points, they built special floating machines to reach the largest and closest floating island, something no nation had ever done before. Driven to desperation they endured the harsh landscape and the horrible weather conditions to mass relocate onto the island and started over, free from the burdens of the nations below. Several decades passed, with no one discovering their new home until the Etherans discovered something deep within the island. A new material that defied all the laws of physics they had originally believed in, and research went into this new material right away.

The world would soon be introduced to the Etherian Empire, in a fire-storm blaze of warfare that no one had before believed possible, and had no way to defend against. Large floating warships flew off the island and began to bomb the settlements of their aggressors from an altitude impossible to defend from. Smaller ships landed and soldiers poured in to slaughter all who remained and resisted. Little by little they began to overwhelm and destroy everyone in their way, conquering inch by inch, little by little they took back their land and began to march into the nations who would dare threaten them. Year after year they stole more and more land and resources for themselves, with their technology far beyond their enemies. The only thing slowing the Empire down was manpower, something they had to wait to replenish with each major victory to ensure they did not stretch themselves too thin. It soon became a matter of when the Etherian Empire would conquer everything, not if. All of their major military and mining installations were placed upon the floating islands that no one could easily reach, making destroying them virtually impossible.

Soon the last of the independent nations either were conquered or surrendered, and a new era was marked. U.O.A. (Unification Of Avalon) was the new era mark. Year 0 marking the exact day that the last bit of land fell to the Etherian Empire, now named the Avalonian Empire. Their continent-wide domination has sparked multiple rebellions that have all been put down in some fashion or another, some believing these are intentionally stirred up to either break anyone's idea of making a truly organized rebellion or to keep the military busy so they do not become restless.

The Atalonian Empire is known for the many Airships it holds in its expansive Airfleet. Multiple military cargo and warships that can patrol multiple parts of the region and police against piracy and rebellion. Due to being the sole Empire in the entire continent there are many hoops needed to actually obtain an airship, and they are intentionally underequipped and made to be as short-range as possible to limit 'pirates' and 'rebels' from properly weaponizing them or utilizing them. However, one type of ship the nation lacks many of are Explorer-craft. Mostly because they have ships in such a wide area that they can call vessels to any location they need, the second is lack of nearby regions to explore. To date, no other landmasses have been uncovered within the flight range of Atalonian Imperial Aircraft.

With revolutionary strides in the Etherium Fuel field of research, brand new aircraft have begun development using Etherium Fuel as the soul source of lift generation, not requiring the more clunky and large blimp-like apparatuses to house the Etherium Gas required to generate lift, allowing for smaller faster aircraft to be designed. While only in the trial stages their results have proven to be extremely promising, with craft being able to outpace larger airships while delivering fast-strike ordinance to targets. They are being looked at as a fast-react craft able to swiftly intercept or respond to pirate or rebellion activity at a moment's notice.
