The subconscious part of ones mind is a data-bank for everything, which is not in ones conscious mind. It stores ones beliefs, previous experiences, memories and skills. Everything that has been seen, thought or done is also stored here. It is a guidance system, one that constantly monitors everything coming from the sense for dangers and opportunities. The Subconscious mind will communicate that information to the concious mind. Every time one has an idea, memory, emotion or image from the past, this is the subconscious mind communicating to the conscious mind.

Another example of the tasks of the subconscious mind is the information coming from the senses. The brain is bombarded with hundreds of MB per second with information. The subconscious mind acts as a barrier between that and the concious mind. It processes everything and will only pass on the information that is relevant at that very moment.

The subconscious mind acts on thoughts that are conveyed with desire. Powered by desire, this part of the mind will do anything in order to obtain the object of desire. It Also opens all available channels to the concious mind to convey informstion on how to do that. When the subconscious mind is set on a task, backed up by a powerful emotion, it allows one to see any and all opportunities in life that will lead one towards that goal. This is the reason for obsession to be formed.

Only thoughts that convey genuine emotion make it to ones subconscious mind, and only the thoughts backed up by strong emotions stay there. The subconscious mind is very power, and can without awarness, direct the course one takes in life.

Onix was born with the birthmark of the waning crescent moon, it has very dark pigment and looks like a uniquely shaped mole on the small of his back. The darker pigmentation means that Onix himself will be quite powerful once her power is activated upon maturity. Because the crescent moon is waning instead of waxing means that his power, once activated, will fall in one of the categories: completetion of cycles, which could means a number of different powers, transitionary or transformation stages, death, the occult or hidden aspects of the subconscious mind.

Upon the eve of Onix's twenty-first birthday after being selected by a supernatural being as their mate, when the moon reaches its apex, he will be endowed with the ability of subconscious clairvoyance. What this means is that Onix will be able to hear or see the hidden aspects of ones mind that reside in their subconscious. This includes ideas, wishes, desires, traumatic memories, painful emotions, etc.

While this power might not seem powerful or worth any value, it is indeed, quite rare. This allows Onix to see behind the facade that everyone fronts, to see the true intentions of either friend or foe. Enough to warn someone of an assassination attempt, battle plans, etc. That way he knows what moves someone will make in advance. To always be one step ahead on everyone. Whatever secrets one might bury so deep within their mind, he will find out about it.

There are three parts to Onix's power, subconscious precognition, which allows h to perceive and predict future events or actions. Subconscious retrocognition, the ability to see past events or courses of action and finally, subconscious remote viewing. This is the preception of contemporary events, happening outside of the normal range of preception. This power Also allows Onix to get into the minds of the dead, seeing their lives, thoughts, pasts, etc. This is a much more difficult task to achieve, but with an item belonging to the deceased or touching the ground upon which they were buried helps him make the mental connection.
