    When disguised as a human, Zǐxīn takes up the form of a tall man with an athletic swimmer's build. He has porcelain skin and jet black hair, typical of a man in his late twenties. His eyes, however, are the sole mark of his immortality, being a golden color rather than the usual dark brown or black eyes. His hair goes halfways down his back and is usually kept partially up in a topknot. Often times with some sort of ornamentation adorning it. His wardrobe typically consists of robes in shades of green, blue, and white, and he rarely refrains from wearing multiple pieces of jewelry. Pieces of gold and jade are particularly favored.

    Full form

    In his full form, Zǐxīn resembles other dragons in many aspects. Such as his resemblance to a myriad of creatures. Including the antlers of a stag, the forehead of a camel, the eyes of a demon, the neck of a snake, the belly of a frog, the scales and whiskers of a carp, the pads of a tiger, the claws of an eagle, and the ears of a bull. His scales in particular are the color of jade and seem to shimmer and change color as he moves. Around his head is a mane of white fur, that continues back along his spine and into a tuff of fur at the end of his tail. His horns are golden in color and sweep back behind his head, separating into many consistent branches before coming to a taper.


    Personality
    Zǐxīn often acts in an arrogant and conceited manner. Acting as though his comfort and needs come before that of others. However, his arrogance does not come from a place of malice but of inexperience. He has only ever known a world where he is worshiped and revered. He takes his duty of bringing water to the mountain very seriously. Despite not seeing the direct effects of his work, only the praise and offerings it gets him. Zǐxīn is also quick to emotion. Quick to anger, though he rarely goes so far as to become violent. Quick to love, though he rarely takes it seriously. He enjoys teasing others in order to draw quick emotions from them as well. Though he had rarely been faced with the consequences of his teasing. His intentions are never malicious however, and while he is slow to realize the full negative effect he has on others, once he does, he makes an effort to make it up to the affected party.

    History

    Meng Zǐxīn is the son of the Azure dragon, Meng Zhang and the river dragon Wú Mèngyáo. The second of three sons, he was born and raised in the Xīn Mansion of his father's domain in the spirit world. Eventually taking his place in the Jiăo Mansion as well as taking up dominion in the physical realm. In the physical realm, he resides in a mountain spring that shares his name, bringing regular rain to Yùshān Mountain and the surrounding region. Receiving offering from the locals in thanks for his work and in prayer that he should continue to act dutifully. His dominion may be the only he takes seriously, making sure that the rain does not flood the mountain in the wet months and making sure that the dry months do not descend into a drought.

    But despite his diligence, he remains distant from his father. Having been raised mostly by family servants. Human spirits waiting to be reincarnated. However, even those constant companions he was not allowed to get close to. His father, the sacred guardian of the east, was of the belief that the mortal and the divine should remain connected but separate. As such, he enforced rules to that effect. While the servants were allowed to serve Zǐxīn and his family. They were not allowed to touch or speak more than what was expected. And any situation where touch was required, such as bathing or dressing, Zǐxīn was expected to tend to himself. Of course, Zǐxīn tried many times to breach that rule, but the spirits that served him were often unwilling to risk their next life to sate the young master's curiosity. It wasn't until he took to his duties in the physical world that he was able to speak directly to the humans his father was tasked with protecting. Much to his father's displeasure.

    Mèngyáo, however, was of a different mindset, her marriage to Zhang being one of convenience rather than affection. She spends most of her time in the physical realm, tending openly to the humans that live along her river. Whenever she did visit the spirit world, she would often share her stories with Zǐxīn. From the mundane stories of granting the wish of a fisherman for a bountiful harvest. To the exciting stories of aiding cultivators with particularly fierce spirits. Usually she would appear in human form, looking as if a widowed madam. The only thing she and the Azure dragon seemed to agree on was that it was best not to reveal one's immortality to mortals. Stating that it was dangerous for both parties.
