Brian Johnson

Who is Brian Johnson? Well, that depends on the opinion of who you ask. Some classify him as a unique and peculiar individual, while others write him off as odd or strange. Yet most people can come to an agreement when they describe Brian as a cautiously reserved, yet unfailingly friendly and welcoming individual, with an unspoken sense of warmth that one can't help but feel safe standing in the presence of. Brian has also earned himself the label of an "old soul" by some, due to a maturity beyond his physical and mental age. To most, Brian is a well balanced coin of someone you can have a fun and carefree time with, and also indulge in a deeper, more meaningful conversation of value with. Above all else, Brian never fails to inherently capture someone's attention, in one way or another.

Though Brian is aware that he is an atypical individual, he does not bear any forlorn feelings towards the intricacies of his personality; rather, he embraces it. Ever since he was a young boy, he knew his mind was something special. Rather than viewing being different as something negative, he made the choice to embrace it; to embrace being a curious specimen, so to speak. After all, in a world where normal is boring, why settle for ordinary?

An only child born to a Russian descent mother and Jewish descent father, Brian grew up in an upper middle class household in the state of New Jersey. Being that money wasn't much of an issue to the Johnson family, this meant that young Brian had the small privilege of being able to have the means to pursue his true passion- the arts. More specifically, photography. After graduating high school, Brian landed himself a job as an intern in a professional photography studio, where he learned the skills necessary to grow his passion into a sustainable career. Yet photography is much more than simply snapping photos; it requires a creative vision, the ability to see beyond the camera lens. In Brian's case, it became quite clear that his unique view of the world and his passion went hand in hand, lending him the ability to capture both in a photograph and in the lens of his mind's eye, perspectives that most people would not think of compiling.

After learning all he could from his mentor and realizing the talent he himself possessed, Brian made the decision to relocate to the Golden State of California, specifically the ritzy city of Los Angeles in pursuit of a career capturing the scenes of the stars. Currently Brian is a freelance photographer, mostly earning his income off private sessions in his modest studio and from commissions. Yet recently, Brian has had the fortunate luck of being enlisted to photograph some more A-list events; including independent movie premieres and up-and-coming musicians, to name a few. And while Brian puts the integrity of the arts above everything, he also holds a dream of having his works published on magazine covers and billboards across America. He remains confident that if he continues to stay true to himself and his craft like he has always done, good fortune will be bound to find him, though...
