The Fairy Folk

Powers of the Fae: The Buccas are kith and kin to the fairy folk, and certain mystical abilities they share in common, not only with one another, but also with the rest of their fae kindred.
- Glamour - The most notorious of fairy magics, glamour or gramarye is the art of illusion, the conjury of phantasmal images and ephemeral sounds. The buccas seem to employ such tricks for the sole purpose of meddling with mankind at their own caprice.
- Enchantment - The buccas are both skilled enchanters. The Bucca Gwidden prefers to impart blessings of fortune and fertility upon hard-working souls. The Bucca Dhu, on the other hand, enjoys inflicting curses upon the malicious and the ungrateful alike.
- Feth Fiada - The so-called fairy fog, also known as druid's mist, is the power of invisibility. Wrapping themselves in a misty shroud of glamour, the Buccas can walk unseen and unheard in the midst of mortals... or at least, those without the gift of second sight.
Frailties of the Fae: Unfortunately, the fairy folk are subject to as many banes as they are blessings. The Buccas are just as vulnerable to these occult weaknesses as rest of their kind.
- Cold Iron - The best-known fairy bane is cold iron. The touch of anything wrought from iron, especially pure unalloyed iron, will scramble their senses and shatter their spells. Even the mere tolling of iron bells will render the fae insensible with pain.
- Holy Invocation - The power of faith repels not only ghosts and demons, but even the fairy folk. Sacred apotropaics can ward away the fae, litanies of abjuration can dispel their enchantments, and rites of exorcism can outright extinguish their lives.
- True Names - Knowing the true name of a fairy gives one great power over them. The fae cannot enchant those who know their true name, and they can even be bound in service. For this reason, most fairies closely guard the knowledge of their true names.
