A whiff of chocolate and cream. Chopped berries scattered across the counter. A pan in the oven. Random assortments of succulents lined up on windowsills. Emere has never wanted more in her life than this — a simple living of providing love and care to those around her through good food and even better times. Sure, sometimes the stuttering earns her some funny looks, and maybe her disheveled appearance makes her look a touch more crazy than she actually is. Life is anxiety, though; it’s never easy.

There’s three pans of cake baking in the oven, and she still needs to get all the fillings ready. The world and all its chaos, it can wait for a little bit.
