Hunter Emmerich

Hunter Emmerich was to a poor family, simply named Hunter. His family made ends meet and thus had to rely on their own to make up on financial shortcomings. His father taught him and took him hunting when he was hold enough, teaching him to kill and skin, even salt and cook meat. His mother taught him more skills in cooking, and cleaning.

The young Hunter had attracted the attention of a young noble man when he was caught poaching on the man’s land. Hunter at a young age that had followed him was his charismatic appearance and thus the young noble was certainly interested in how the young Hunter would come out with some tutor. So instead of punishing Hunter and his family, decided to come to an arrangement with Hunter’s family that the boy would be tutored to be a trusted servant.

While under the guidance of the nobleman, Hunter was further taught many things with one of those being learned how to read. As soon as he was able to learn to read and write, Hunter devoured books that he came across, learning as much as he can and taking great joy in various stories. One of his heroes was what inspired him to take on the surname of Emmerich.

Though for the young Emmerich, tragedy would strike as he returned home to find that his parents were murdered by bandits who were looting his family home which was nothing more than a shack. Filled with rage, he sought revenge. With bow in hand and a hunting knife, he sought to take the bandits on his own, but as he goes to string the bow to put down a bandit, he struggled to release, nerves and hesitation took over as his hands becomes shaky. He did his best to think he was hunting an animal, but it was hard for him to take the shot still, but eventually he did, striking the bandit in the chest. However that was the only thing he could do as he felt exhausted thanks to his anxiety overtaking him. Before the bandits can take action against him, proper soldiers came in to deal with him, instead of revenge, justice was served and Emmerich found peace with that.

After that night, Emmerich accepted he wouldn’t be a hero or an adventure, but instead opted to be the best servant he could be and thus read books to help better himself including in acquiring various skills such as sewing and tailoring to name a few. He even developed and lead various reorganization for better efficiency from the various servants but at the same time not overwork the servants. His stewardship and administrative duties were greatly appreciated. He even helped aid in raising the noble children and opting to be a more constant father figure to them, helping them as they grew up and giving life lessons to not only them, but to others who seek him out. Even as he gets older, he continues to be a calm older gentleman always willing to depart knowledge to the younger generation and tell stories of his life.
