She laid there, amidst the bones of his empire, pale and bare, so soft and vulnerable, curled in within herself. She was the only thing that was bright and with color in his wretched kingdom of death and emptiness. She could not have hurt a fly if she wanted to...

And as she laid there, a tear dropped from her closed eye and dropping down on the cold, stone ground. And he began to notice something immediately. One of the skulls that was laying close to her pale body began to open it's jaws as something crackled beneath it, the ground shaking ever so slightly. And from its mouth and eyes flowers slowly began to grow and bloom, the red petals spreading gloriously while the knives of the green grass and its leaves started to cover the dead bones. And just barely he could see a small snail crawling over the skull and a ladybug landing on one of the red petals.

Suddenly, she was surrounded by grass and colorful flowers, like a glorious frame of beautiful power as the fireflies flew across the dark cavern, for the first time bringing light. The ground shook even harder, the crackling echoing in the cave, breaking through the rock hard soil only for a tree to sprout right above her. With struggle, the bark grew out branches and richly colored leaves, soon becoming the most towering structure in the cave. It was just mere seconds before his empire was suddenly buzzing with life, with stag suddenly rising from the thick patch of grass, looking around just as much as bewildered as God of Death was.

And from the cradle of flowers and thick grass rose a red hair, as she stood up from her spot where she laid pitifully just moments ago, at awe at the sudden burst of power that came from her... She looked at him, her eyes wide and watery, as she felt the emotion from him for the first time...

She brought life in the kingdom of death.
