Lamar Beaumont

Lamar was the unlucky party in a dubious demonic contract. A hazy memory from a trip he barely remembers taking during a short break from university. He remembers being sick, separating himself from the small group of friends, walking into what he thought was their cabin and passing out.

Most of his life growing up, he has always had experiences with other worldy things. His father and grandmother often spoke of him having the gift, but even when random shit other people could not see scared him half to death, he refused to believe. Over time, his calous disbelief formed the shield he needed to protect himself, unknowingly deploying his natural shaman talents.


Bound to a demon, at least once a year, he is forced to lure people in for the demon to feed off, of which often results in death. It is unclear what happens since, the demon wipes some of his memories. In return for this "offering", the demon protects him and makes sure anything he creates manages to be successful, with its ultimate goal being freedom from Lamar's body or total control over it. The demon has not been able to consume his soul and take over due to an unknown ability, and disposition in Lamar's soul. A curious fact the scientist is still trying to research.  Silly stories from his French grandma be damned. How he manages to turn this into a science experiment and get the upper hand is the story to be written. Does his life improve, and doors open for him? Hopefully not any more gates to the underworld...
