No Scarf: Born without magic into the witch society, but still working in the society OR a dangerous criminal stripped of their scarf and magic
Black Scarf: They have very low magic levels and did not attend any schooling for magic, but can preform simple spells like "Light"
Blue Scarf: They have low to moderate magic levels and are part of the middle class. They typically attend lower level magic schooling and can work to up their rank depending on schooling or favor from the king.
Green Scarf: They have moderate magic levels and have access to palace libraries. They supply a lot of luxury for the higher ranks. All witch guardians (essentially soldiers) are automatically bumped to this level. They are also considered middle class.
Red Scarf: Lower nobility and high profile merchants. Their magic level may vary. They usually attend high level schooling and are highly respected.
Gold Scarf: Higher nobility and usually extremely powerful and respected members of society. They attend high level schooling and serve in positions near the King.
White Scarf: The King and his immediate family. Most secretive branch of power.

Wandering amongst the humans are three magical species: Witches (and Wizards), Vampires, and Werewolves. The human world is a modern society complete with all the technology of our day, but as soon as you travel between the realms, you are knocked into a different time frame. The magical realm is powered mostly with Witch magic, which makes them the wealthiest and most powerful in the realm.
Witches have the ability to travel between one world and the next, but they usually have to be Blue Scarf to preform the magic on their own and obtain a license. Some witches have created small portal devices so No Scarfs can travel to the human world to work, as they usually can't get well paying jobs in the magical frame.
Vampires usually have to use witch portals or pitch black nights to travel between worlds, which makes it rarer to see a vampire in the human realm.
Werewolves are more mysterious and it is relatively unknown how they travel between worlds, but the Witch Society assumes there must be a way due to the surprising amount of Werewolf sightings in the human realm.
Of course, there are many subspecies and even other smaller species groups, such as leprechauns, fairies, etc. However, their populations are small due to epidemics and wars in the past and they usually reside in protected witch cities.

Humans: Essentially the same culture as it is now, except for slightly more claimed magical sightings.

Witches: Arguably the most powerful of the three realm species, however their magic does drain over time. They cover over 45% of the continent and build beautiful supercities, libraries, schools, and castles. Even the lowest classes are well dressed. There is a strict class system based on magic level and intelligence and it's a very classist society. Every young child of the Green scarf and up is taught to fear, hate, or pity the other species. This species is also extremely family strong. You are attached to your family until you marry into a more powerful one. There are lots of different species within the Witch kingdom because it is so large and known to be a hub between the species. The Witches claim to be the most peaceful, but they are not.

Vampires: Vampires have a small kingdom, more like a sanctuary. There is a long standing feud between Witches and Vampires and they often skirmish with each other. There are lots of Vampire gangs throughout the Witch kingdom, lots of Vampires masquerading as humans in both realms, and a few Vampire Witch hybrids, though they are shunned and often cast out. Vampires have enhanced senses, are much stronger and faster than the Witches, and some can even shapeshift. Vampires can turn other people by biting them, but they can also reproduce and their children will 80% of the time be Vampires as well. They age until they are about 20 and then age one year every four years for the rest of their lives.

Werewolves: Not much is known about Werewolves, except that their point of turning is very important to them. Every time a child turns 18, they take on their wolf form and are initiated into the pack. They keep to themselves and are the most dangerous of the three species.
