Kael'anar Rhavarys

The White Lion of Iryssë



Prince Kael'anar Rhavarys also known as the White Lion, is a noble scion of the elven enclave of Iryssë, whilst his sister Vanyria followed in the royal tradition and assumed her role as High Matron, Kael'anar chose to walk the path of the huntsman, the ancestral role of Iryssian elves, rather than take on the role of a royal warden. Kael'anar searches the lands far and wide as a warrior ascetic, having dedicated himself dually to the Aesur gods Kain and Hveth, the gods of war and knowledge respectively. By walking this path within the mandala, Kael'anar has dedicated himself to both martial and mental pursuits to ascertain spiritual enlightenment and attain the incredibly rare mandalic ascendancy turning him into a demi-god. Kael'anar is foremost a warrior of great repute and in the tradition of the elves of Irysse he has foregone the inclination of his kind towards sorcery instead honing that power into physical prowess, as such he channels the winds of magic in his form, gaining subtle manipulation of time, gravity, force, speed and senses to better himself.



Though seen as indifferent and unbound by his elven contemporaries, Kael'anar has never failed to defend the elven cause across Tyranoth, a myriad threats face the elven enclaves which remain divided by eons of separation resulting in different cultures, languages, traditions and even speciation owing to the sorcerous calamities of their past and it is now humans who are the principal hegemons across the continent. Though their power has since waned, the elves remain a significant force across Tyranoth dedicating their interventions to that which is commanded the guidance of the ancestor spirits who read the strands of fate to try to guide each enclave into a new era of greatness, several of their kin have fallen from grace into corruption all the same, their souls and reverence coveted by forces beyond the realm.



The white lion is a symbol of Irysse and refers to the wild beasts which roam its forests and plains, these powerful beasts symbolize the power and defiance of Irysse as it stands against the threats which arise from the far side of the drachenwal mountains. Kael'anar journies without rest or relent guided by his destiny and searches for the wisdom of ancestral warrior spirits bound to their resting places, it is these spirits that give him his trials and in return gains their lost knowledge completing yet another leg of his warriors journey. At times, Kael'anar is called to lead elvish forces in defense when their realms are threatened, at other times, the strands of fate determine that a threat must be dealt with before it rises.



Kael'anar wields Eldrazar, a legendary Iryssian war-axe imbued with the warrior spirit of an ancient Iryssian warrior elf who took on a journey much like Kael'anar yet found his life forfeit in their journey. Now Eldrazar guides Kael'anar and hopes that he may lead each to the conclusion of the warrior's journey. Given the lifespan of elves, it is a journey that may take centuries to complete yet both Kael'anar and Eldrazar persevere. In battle the weapon is unrivalled, foreseeing the enemies blows and guiding the hand that wields it, Eldrazar's edge may glow red in heated battle embodying a fraction of Kain's fiery rage and cleaving through even the mightiest of armors enchanted or not. Eldrazar is also possessed of the wisdom of Hveth, reading runes, seeing traps or tracking foes even through walls. Deceptively light for it's size, Eldrazar flows like wind and strikes as thunder.



Rhun serves as Kael'anar's white lion mount across his journies and battles, through soul bond with this beast he is able to coordinate combat seamlessly, where an excess of force is necessary mighty Rhun barges in, clearing a path or disembowelling a champion with unrivalled ferocity thus Kael'anar never fights as one, through the use of elven sorcery, the lion's essence can be transferred to a gem worn by Kael'anar as a pendant and summoned accordingly when the need arises.
