Aleksander Krios

Alek, or Sander, isn't from this continent. He was born as the first prince to a kingdom where mixed breeds are normal and considered an ordinary race called Chimera. His biggest complaint about his life until recently was that he had to attend social gatherings that made him uncomfortable when he could have been painting. His parents, the king and queen, knew he hated socializing but were strict since he was the crown prince.

Things changed when deserters from another continent started showing up having run from a war. One or two slowly turned into enough to become a hazard since they didn't like mixed breeds and refused to get along with them. Their dissatisfaction culminated in a coup d'etat of the royal palace where his entire family was in danger and scattered so that at least one of them would survive. He didn't realize that the path he was flying and swimming across would end up trapping him on an island with a bunch of strangers.
