Dislikes: fiction books, sweet foods, fights and needless violence, rude people with a total lack of manners, too spicy food, cold weather, crude humour, getting blood on his clothes

Relationship status: single; his parents always pressure him into marriage but he doesn't want a wife

Appearance:

He is of average height at 178 cm. He's always been a bit stocky, with wide shoulders and strong arms and a bit of a soft stomach but his days working around a ship keep him fit enough. He's got a fair complexion but tans easily, his dark brown hair is naturally curly and he usually keeps it down, falling to his shoulders but never longer. He might put it in a bun when he's working. There are some silver streaks appearing, but a person would have to get close to notice that. He smiles a lot and easily, ducks his head often, he's got prominent smile lines that get even more obvious with each year. He tries to take good care of his clothes and is prone to cleanliness, not just because of his job. He's learned his lesson and tries to wear darker colors if he can. He never wears jewellery either since it could get in the way. His eyes are a bright blue and his facial hair grows pretty fast. He isn't able to grow a full beard, though, and he prefers to be clean-shaven and shaves whenever he has the chance.

Personality:

He is a kind man, with a deep sense of empathy. People find it easy to talk to him and to confide in him, which has always made him a good doctor and a counselor too if the sailors of his ship needed to talk to somebody, he was there. Jason has always thrived when he was able to help and heal people. He likes to be needed for something he is good at. He is content with silence but always happy to be talking to somebody. He can even turn out to be quite charming. The quiet can get too quiet, making him feel lonely at times. Especially on a ship where the company is limited and not every common sailor shares his scientific mind. He lacks somebody to bond with and talk to, somebody with common topics that could meet him at his level but it is what it is and Jason is an optimist, looking at the positives rather than the negatives, or at least he always tries to.

Skills:

He is highly educated and received the best education he could at Oxford. He is a great doctor and a surgeon. His schooling included the areas of the mind as well, at least as much as there was to know about that. He does not have much of a fighting skill but is eerily good with a knife and knows exactly where to hit to make it the most effective. He would only do that in self-defence, though. He speaks English as his mother tongue and is fluent in Spanish as well. Latin was a requirement at the university. He was not able to grasp much of the other languages beyond the occasional phrase or a swear word. He is not unfamiliar with the world of the nobles but not fully a part of it. He's been sailing for a long time, serving in the Royal Navy and so he knows the basics of sailing, but was never expected to help out since the Navy recognized how important it was for a doctor to keep his hands intact. He is a great swimmer. Has impeccable bedside manner, able to adjust to any patient.
