Marisol Flores

Marisol got married right out of high school to her sweetheart. Her parents only reluctantly approved. Unfortunately it didn’t last long. Fortunately there weren’t any children though she would love to be a mother, still. The jerk still lives in town but he usually knows better than to try to talk. She longs to get away from him though, and never be reminded.

She’s barely gotten out there again. She’s tried the apps. She prefers hanging with her girlfriends over that.

Her father owns the garage she works at, so he’s very protective as well. For that matter so are the rest of her coworkers which are all guys.

Since childhood she has always loved music, all kinds of music, and singing and dancing. But she has never trained her voice or learned an instrument besides plucking the strings of a guitar a little bit.

She speaks both english and spanish, of course. But she also took french in high school just because it was different, despite the flack she got from the other mexican kids at her school.

She enjoyed playing sports in PE but she never tried out because after school she always helped her dad work, even as a child. In another life she could’ve been and would've loved being part of a team, any team, though.

The Flores’s extended family has lived in California for generations and that is where she got married. Now every time she goes to visit she’s filled with discomfort and anger instead of love.
