Cloaking (Natural): It can become invisible, so to the naked eye, any movement would appear as a shimmer/shiver effect, but it would be barely noticeable. They activate the skin receptors on their flesh to blend in with their surroundings, just like a squid or octopus would.
Siphon/Absorb energy as a food source primarily for sustenance and growth

Psionic Abilities Explained

Psychokinesis (Animated and controlling existing objects and forces): From the brief description states, it is the ability to control and move objects via the force of the mind. Some void beasts are born with a shine and natural pull to this psionic skill and may favor it over partnering, usually with telepathy.

Telepathy (Mental communication and psychic attacks): The mind is a powerful tool, especially when used to read and control/persuade/manipulate/misdirect the minds of those around, and also a reliable source of communication. The void beasts have a hive mind that they can refer to, but depending upon distance, their voices can become quieter. This seems to be stronger when one is within proximity of another, allowing void beasts to communicate with one another in a telepathic wavelength. Each void beast is their individual and can shut off this open channel whenever.

Psychometabolism (body-changing powers): Void beasts are an enigma in themselves, as their gene pool is diverse, with all sorts of mutations, from extra eyes to color genes and limbs. This skill comes in handy for blending into different alien environments or rearranging a part of themselves to make a limb into a hand or tentacle.

Psychoportation (teleportation variants): Void beasts can travel to and from various dimensions/universes via realm tears. Within this skill, another set of talents within this ability is taught most of the time by older and more experienced void beasts. If left alone to explore, young ones usually look for these tears to travel. Still, some older void beasts can eventually make their tears by grabbing particles they can see and harness and gather with their siphoning into a pool and rip an opening of their own making. This doesn’t have to be just for traveling to other dimensions but rather within the current plane of existence. The particles can be used as trajectory points to hop around and travel faster in a place rather than in flight. If you've ever seen the anime Ergo Proxy and watch how Monad moves when she escapes from the lab or any Proxy, it gives you a good idea. It’s a blurry effect over them moving from one spot to another.

Realm/Rift Tears
Void beasts can see particles/wisps/glowing orbs that mark an area available to open a portal or exit a current dimension to land in a slipstream/wormhole. They drift like spores in the wind and move from place to place. When there is a large cluster, it means a tear is ready to be accessed. If specs are floating up and around and far too spread out, then there’s no opening. It’s possible to gather them, but not many learn to do that unless taught.

Naiovhe has a streamlined body, an oval-shaped head, and silver/light purple eyes. His long neck connects to a torso with six tentacles sprouting around his shoulders and back. He has small limbs and dexterous hands. He has no back feet as his body continues to taper off into a tail that also acts as a tentacle. He's indigo-colored (blues/purples) with some desaturated colorations for his body and underside. His dorsal side is covered in splotchy-stripe markings.

His species don't have bones but cartilage except for their teeth, which is chiton. The size of their jaws determines the spaces they can fit through, like an octopus or squid can.

Vivienne is Naiovhe's guardian and they travel together.
