Irene Talyn

Posh and snobby, yet adaptable and mischievous, Irene likes to describe herself as the most adaptable woman out there. Always having a keen eye for the most precious of jewelry, as well as fine arts and luxurious fashion trends, she likes to spend most of her time indulging in things that pique her interest, as well as hoarding only the prettiest and most expensive things to herself, even if it is at the cost of committing robbery and getting herself in trouble - although that never stopped her from anything - for her inquisitive nature always led her to exciting new places and discovering new desires. Irene never liked to ‘settle down’, and always had a thing or two for adventure and masterpieces, curiosity being her main driver. The human world presents her with infinite possibilities, so much so that she has decided to let go of her draconic heritage and embrace the timeless world of humans for the rest of her life. She enjoys living many different types of human lifestyles, and most definitely being a rich person, staying at the top of the ladder. Anything else short of adventure and experimentation, and she’d feel miserable, lacking, and worst of all - bored.

Irene’s dragon form consists of feathers all around the body, mostly of white, with some yellow and ebony tips. Her legs are also blackened, revealing talons at the ends. Her face is also darkened, with at least two eyes on each side, for a total of four eyes. She has long feathers sprouting from her head, with two on each side colored yellow. Her size used to be massive, but due to her affiliation with humans, her size has shrunk to almost half of her original size, and it continues to grow smaller as time passes… As for her human form, it is naturally a blonde woman, a lithe build, with slightly grey-blue eyes.

She wears tattoos on her body, one on her back and one on her right arm.

Irene hopes to prosper through her highly individualistic ideals in the human realm, forfeiting her hectic draconic life for something less chaotic, to which she sees the human life as the perfect paradise for someone as different as herself. While her goals aren’t exactly the most concrete, she hopes to find a place amongst the humans and to blend in with them, hoping to learn their ways and to be able to find a place in the world, unlike her place amongst dragons which she continues to feel as though she was a failure.

Her highly confident and arrogant aura, like most dragons, but often times this is mistaken as her gravest flaw. What leaves her worse off is she has very little to show for herself in terms of strength, leaving her no option but to flee from conflict, if trickery and speed would not do the trick, for her powers have dwindled since she last abandoned her draconic origins, feeling less connected to magic and her element, and of course, her dragon form rusting away as she revered her human form the longest.

She has strong ties to air and wind magic, to the point of being able to summons storms of all kinds and alter the weather. Sometimes it can be so bad that the weather bends to her emotions. However, as she remained a human for some time, these powers are not as potent as they were before. She relies a lot on her speed, and using wind defensively and offensively in combat. Battle is not her strongest suit, so she aims to find creative ways to win, through deals, trickery, trivia quizzes, or even through verbal slander, for she prides her knowledge and brain power over pure brawn and magical prowess. The cost of living with the humans after all was too great on her natural draconic abilities and affiliation with magic. A few of her powers include but not limited to:

• Super speed flight
• A-grade shapeshifting
• Illusion magic

Irene hasn’t much worth of relationships other than the occasional one-night stands. She thrives on making friends on the fly, but has a hard time keeping them considering she moves around the globe too often. It’s in her dragon blood to explore, especially as she is affiliated with the magic of the wind. She is also quite picky when it comes to making friends, for if she finds them suitable for her liking, she will allow them to have some of her riches, which is rare as this is considered the best thing she could offer anyone remotely close enough to get to that level. As a free-spirit, it is hard to find one that likes to stick around.

• She is able to hear whispers in the wind carrying words of people from long distances, from the quietest voices to the loudest, thanks to her keen sense of hearing and affiliation with the magic of the Four Winds - North, South, East, and West.
• She knows how to use different weapons, from bows and arrows to firearms, but is not proficient at anything, much like a jack of all-trades. She is still very proficient in her magic, and somewhat over-reliant on it.
• Irene is capable of speaking a variety of human languages, making her a living draconic polyglot.
