Saria Waesgolor

No matter what it is you do in life, do it well. Do it so well, that no one can question your actions and accomplishments.

The Waesgolor clan in the Elven society is a highly ranked family, comparable to a human country's ducal family. They have existed as long as the Elven Empire, and are one of it's founding families, given their rank by the first Empress. Whether its the Military, Medical field, or Politics, their family has significant influence in them all. The Matriarch, Cithrel, is the current Elven Empress' childhood friend and advisor, while the Matriarch's husband, Wyn, is a highly ranked general in the military.

The Matriarch and her husband have 5 children together. The two eldest boys, Ailen and Vulas, followed their father into the military, and the eldest girl, Zilyana, is being groomed to be the next Matriarch. The second youngest girl, Ashera, is a doctor in the best elven hospital and the youngest, Saria, is a known genius and has earned the respect of the Empress, allowing her to take the honored position as the Royal Elven Library's Librarian.

The salary of the Royal Elven Library's Librarian is high, one of the highest paying positions in the empire, allowing Saria to live away from her family and sustain herself without relying on them. As her eldest sister, Zilyana, is going to be the next Matriarch, that means Saria, other than holding the Waesgolor's bloodline, has nothing else to do with the family. She has no interest in having her own family, but that doesn't mean she wants to be alone, and is always looking for someone to keep her company.

In the Empire, slavery of other races is legal. For high ranked noble families and the Royal family, it's almost encouraged. Humans, Beastkin, and any other races that happen to be defeated in battle or sold to the empire can be slaves- even half elves. Pure blooded elves are the only ones truly respected, and Half Elves are seen as disgraces to their bloodline, a blight, and thus, of less worth than their pure blooded counterparts.

Even pure blood elves who have given birth to half bloods, willing or not, can be sold as slaves, as their wombs are no longer pure, or their seed is no longer valuable after the abominations they bring into the world.
