Maxwell Helix

Maxwell is a weapons and heavy machinery enthusiast with training using many firearms, as well as Starship Navigation and Weapons systems. He can just as easily be a guard as helping plan the next space jump, and doesn't shy from assisting in mechanical engineering escapades even though it is not his forte. He is exceedingly loyal to people who have earned his trust, and often invites crewmates to play competitive videogames with him, like "Mario Kart" or "Super Smash Bros", or the equivalent. He has a childhood best friend named Castor Welles who he enjoys catching up with when they cross paths. He also struggles to back down from challenges, no matter how benign or dangerous.
Maxwell grew up in a small starport town. His dad was a sailor who taught him all about ships whenever he was home on shore leave. His dad also taught him how to use several firearms for self defense, training that came in useful later when he got military training after coming of age.
