  To some extent, this is a flexible character. I play him at different ages and places in his life; hence I have no age listed.
  
  To those unaware, he is based on the titular character of The Phantom of the Opera. Note however that I will gladly play him outside of his canon setting, and often prefer to play him with non-fans -- as fans often jump to conclusions that I am sticking to this version or that. To date I am aware of close to fifty-five official, published versions of this story, and I incorporate bits and pieces from most of them, to the point where sometimes I am uncomfortable saying I play a canon. If you are a POTO fan and wish to RP with me, consider these criteria.
  
  1. Do you consider Erik 'hot' or 'sexy'?
  2. Do you think Raoul is a cruel, probably alcoholic and abusive fop?
  3. Do you think your character is the perfect match for Erik, and even though I hate instant romance, you know that he'll just fall for them in moments so that doesn't include you?
  
  If you answered 'yes' to any of the above, I do NOT want to RP with you. That's simply not how I roll.
  
  Now to sound less like an asshole, there are SEVERAL plots I've come up with over the years, and I'm fairly flexible as to which plots I'd like to RP.
  If your character fits into a no-magic or very low-magic continuity
  If you are looking for nonsexual RP, if your character can work in a Victorian setting (or thereabouts -- I can be flexible)
  
  ... I would probably adore RPing with you.

  It must be understood when one goes about describing the Phantom -- he is neither angel nor monster nor ghost. He is a man, as other men, and his name is Erik. But what a man! He stands tall, clad all in elegant blackness, and all his face is hidden from the world behind a mask. He is extraordinarily, skeletally thin -- indeed, even he would have you know that it is a corpse who stands here -- stands here and loves.
  
  (This is an old description that I wrote as a shitty placeholder. It has also received an inordinate amount of compliments to the point that I never entirely eliminated it. However it is a poor physical description and leads to people leaping to instant-romance, and I have finally replaced it with this.)
