    Boris sat with his feet kicked up by the fireplace with a corncob pipe hanging between his lips, the vague undertone of Cherry filling the air as he inhaled the aromatic tobacco. He idly scraped an old iron knife across the end of what would be a simple spear in the near future, used to make traps for large animals. He did his best to keep these traps far in the woods, away from where people might be.
    
    The evening was approaching, and a nasty snowstorm started to kick up. A blizzard.
    "Another one?" Boris said to himself, glancing down to his dog, Chauncey. Chauncey, meanwhile, appeared focused on something else. Something far away. His big, yellow eyes peering towards the doorway of the wooden cabin. He huffed a low bark, and came to his feet, moving with loud steps (After all, Chauncey is a large dog) towards the stained window.
    
    Boris uncrossed his legs and came to his feet, peering out the window. All he could see was snow, as he expected, the nearest village to him was barely visible through the thick pines, and the icy trail. The snow was the only sound to be heard. But Chauncey doesn't bark for no reason.
    
    He took a look down to his canine companion and frowned, "Now now, whatever it is can wait until morning. I don't feel keen on freezing today." he smiled and patted Chauncey on the head, "Let's see what we can find in the pantry to eat."
    
    Though he dismissed his dog's worries for the time, he still felt uneasy. But going out into the snow now, may not be the best idea.
