  • Biography

    She enlisted in the army when she was 18, with her dad’s approval. She spent most of this time stationed in Colombia, engaging in guerilla warfare. A few months before she was scheduled to return home, her squad was attacked by something. At least, that’s the story she told her higher-ups, and it wasn’t a complete lie. One by one, day after day, the men disappeared into the river that ran adjacent to their camp. No sign of struggle. The night she was posted to watch, she saw a woman come into the camp and lead one of the men away into the forest. She followed, attempting to intervene only when the woman disappeared into the water, soldier in tow. She failed to retrieve him, but succeeded in weaving a convincing enough tale to get their squad moved to another location.

    A woman in one of the towns heard a tidbit of the strange disappearances into the river, and Hallie heard her first whispers of La Mohana, the water spirit. Although disturbed by the existence of such things, she didn’t feel the need to act until she got back to the states at 25 and began looking into the many strange incidents littering the country. Unsettled by the threats on home soil, she settled easily into the rough life of a hunter. She’s been hunting supernatural beasts for two years now and still has a lot to learn.
