• Description

  Appearance: Cassius is a tall young man, standing at 6'1". He towers over most over his relatives, which he is utterly pleased about. He has definitely-defined abdominal muscles, with power arms accustomed to throwing javelins. He is rather powerful physically, but isn't a speedster. He also isn't the most agile of fighters, which makes him kind of unique due to his chosen class. Yet, most of his power is within his corrupt magical powers, which stem from his family tree. While he isn't the most flexible fighter, his magical powers do make him suited to being a Dark Flier, as well as his abilities to throw javelins with accuracy. He has a reputation as the best javelin thrower in the imperial army, or at least one of them. He has a deeply tanned complexion, although he does have some scars on his body. He has a scar that looks like a slash on his left arm, and apart of his shoulder has a burn scar that's not too terrible, but still looks as though he's been badly singed there in the past. But most of his skin is rather smooth and healthy. He has strong and dexterous hands, well-suited to all sorts of weapons and flipping through tome pages. Most expect him to be a physical fighter of some sort when they first see him.
  
  Cassius has a rather handsome face. He has a firmly-set jawline that's aristocratically and powerfully broad. He has slightly drooped, narrowed eyes, with thin, cat-like pupils. His irises are a bright amber. Cassius is a person who tends not to hide any negative emotions that he may be feeling, therefore he scowls when he feels like scowling. If he feels bitter or hostile, then the person who he is feeling that way towards will know it by his expression. He has a vicious way of making his feelings known, and won't hesitate to humiliate his enemies in any way possible. He can mostly be seen with a scheming smile on his face. Most remark that he always looks clever, but also like he's continuously planning something mischievous. He does have a somewhat lazed appearance to him as well. He has an smoothly curved nose. His lips are on the thinner side, and they tend to be rather smooth. Fortunately, he is not someone who is plagued by chapped lips very often. His hair can tend to be an utter mess, with one part covering his right eye somewhat, while his hair sticks up as though it's been gelled, a bit like a bedhead. Cassius constantly is trying to change his hairstyle, but is continuously plagued by his bedhead.
  
  Clothing/Armor Style: Cassius's armor is all colored silver. He has a silver plate on his chest and one on his back, both with rather intricate designs on them, featuring cat eye patterns. He has two plates on his thighs as well. His clothing underneath that armor is a bit scanty. Most of his articles of clothing are red. His main shirt/dress thing is sleeveless, and he has sleeves that are separated from it. The shirt-dress thing ends at his lower thighs, and there's some skin exposed there, but he wears thigh high stockings on his legs. Finally, he has silver boots with red ties on them.
  
  Cassius's casual clothing can tend to vary a lot. He has no jewelry, as he believes it to be too flashy for even himself. Cassius tends to wear long trousers during the colder seasons, and shorts during the warmer seasons. He does have a black coat that is a size too large for him for the wintertime, with a fur-rimmed hood and sleeves, which he'll mostly wear everywhere as long as it's cold enough for it. He does wear scarves when it's especially frigid outside. His color preference is mostly with red and black. He has a variety of belts that he wears as well. During the warmer seasons, he'll wear shorter pants, or just outright shorts. For shoes, he mostly wears boots or dress shoes if he feels the need to.
  
  Personality: Cassius is a sly individual. He's slippery to get a hold of, and looks like he's always plotting something. He's honestly rather cunning, with manipulative tendencies. He doesn't usually just use people and throw them away once he no longer has a need for them, anyways. Unless he was manipulating someone he dislikes, then most of his 'tools' stay healthy and alive. Cassius is not above using people as playthings. He doesn't ever really court anyone, due to a lack of interest in loyal romance. Most of the time he's simply playing with people that he's interested in. But that interest never usually evolves into anything significant. On the battlefield, he cares little for morals or mercy and may easily harm anyone who gets in his way. He's a deadly and dirty fighter who is not above using cheap maneuvers in order to obtain victory. He is not above instigating friendly fire in order to win, but doesn't do it often. He tries to keep that part a secret, so the soldiers don't get upset or angry with him. While he isn't much to care about what others think about him, he knows that popularity with the soldiers does matter. If they were to rebel, then he would only have more problems.
  
  Cassius isn't actually very ambitious. He doesn't seek more power out of his own interests, and is really just following Alexander's orders. He does whatever the prince says, and knows that he is one of the only few that may actually be capable of reasoning with Alexander. He knows that not many dare approach the rebellion leader, due to his icy demeanor, but Cassius knows no fear when approaching the black-haired young man as they have been close friends since their early childhoods. Cassius doesn't really mind Alexander's cruelty when dealing with others. He's accustomed to the prince's personality. But he can't help but wish for the younger boy Alexander had once been, who had been so eager to learn about the world and go on adventures. Cassius usually dismisses these thoughts, believing them to be foolish. Despite his snide and even somewhat lackadaisical demeanor, Cassius is a hard worker. He does not relent whenever he has been given a task or mission to go on. He is utterly determined to strengthen the imperial side as much as possible. His loyalty to Alexander and to the imperial side is unwavering. He is an incredibly loyal friend who is always thinking about what is best for Alexander.
  
  Cassius still does have a casual and laid-back charm about him. Most of the other rebellion leaders consider him charming and relaxed. They much prefer speaking to him than speaking to Alexander. Cassius is actually good at socializing and making others believe in him. He's skilled with his words and is ultimately rather intelligent. He's a fast learner who excels in learning about music, history and mathematics. He does also avidly study magic and runes. He's devoted to his cause and trains in a devoted and routine manner. He's rather resourceful as well, and is good at searching for rare tomes and novels, as well as weapons. He also is a good leader, who is very much capable of making the soldiers underneath him like him for his snark and laid-back attitude. Many of the soldiers favor him to many other leaders on the imperial side. A lot of soldiers do make it their goal to serve underneath him. Cassius is rather self-disciplined and he knows his limits. But that does not stop him from gambling. He will at times gamble his own life, and the lives of other soldiers. But he makes sure that the soldiers do know the risk. He wouldn't shove anyone into a risky mission without them knowing that it was a risky mission.
  
  Cassius is a decisive individual. He's capable of making split-second decisions, and moving quickly when necessary. He has a dexterous wit and a mind that can process comments and words said, and retort to them a second after. He does not need an extended amount of time to respond to insults or threats. He doesn't take kindly to insults. When insulted he'll still act rather lackadaisical, but will fire back with the most scathing and degrading insult that he can possibly think of. He is absolutely brutal whenever he gets into an argument, but will have a rather lax demeanor no matter what. Cassius does not lose his temper easily and is actually one of the most patient members of Alexander's main circle or army entirely. He's incredibly clear-headed and doesn't fly into a rage. He doesn't have any berserk buttons to be pushed. He's absolutely lax and calm no matter what. This makes him even better with planning out battles and strategies. His wit combined with his calmness makes him an incredibly useful commander, who is favored very widely by the soldiers that he commands. He's one of the most popular people who serves Alexander.

• Biography

  Cassius was born the first son to his generation of the Lugus family. The Lugus family was wealthy and close with the emperor, being an aristocratic family that had their own company. The Lugus family specialized in the manufacturing of musical instruments, and as a result, most of the children and members of the family could play at least one instrument. Besides being musicians, the Lugus family was also devout fighters for the empire, and defenders of the throne no matter who occupied it. Their loyalty was to the country of Zephyr. Most of them served as magical or flying units, due to the tendencies of the members to be agile and limber. Cassius's father married into the family, from another noble family. The Break Family, is what his father's family had been called. The two families had close relations with each other. The marriage was not forced, and Cassius's mother and father both were happy and thoroughly in love with each other. Cassius was an odd child. He inherited his mother's gift for magic, alongside his father's physical strength. It was clear from a young age that he would be a valuable member of the family. He was doted upon and spoiled by the other family members.
  
  Cassius attended one of the many banquets, and quickly befriended Alexander, who was the eldest prince of the family. At the time, the two of them were rather young, with Alexander only being two years older than Cassius. The two became fast friends, as well as friendly rivals. From them on, the Lugus family encouraged Cassius to continue being friends with Alexander, who was supposed to be the next king. Those of the Lugus family wished to keep their bond with the royal family strong. Cassius, regardless of any other factors, befriended Alexander for who he actually was. Alexander saw this, and immediately decided that Cassius was his best friend. Many other noble children had befriended Alexander purely because he was supposed to be the next king. But Cassius was genuine. The two would sneak out of the palace and have adventures while exploring. They stuck very close together and soon became incredibly casual with each other. The two had a very genuine and powerful bond.
  
  Cassius was thoroughly educated in every subject. He was taught how to fight and eventually became a Pegasus Knight of his own accord, aiming to serve the king. He used this reason as an excuse to visit Alexander almost each and every day. The two trained together often. Most of their spars would end in draws. Cassius moved into a small cottage beside the palace. Eventually, Cassius became a Dark Flier and grew to become a very powerful person in Zephyr. He became a role model for most new recruits. But all of that changed on the day that the royal family was massacred. After discovering his entire family deceased, Alexander was shocked and traumatized. Cassius and the second prince, Acelin, were forced to practically carry Alexander out of the palace in order to escape. Eventually, the rebellion was founded with Cassius as one of the most prominent leaders.
