• Description

  Now here's a man who looks as if he's carried the burden of death on his shoulders since birth. The first words that come to mind upon catching a glimpse of him tend to be "Rough", "Sickly", and "Off-putting".
  Despite this however, his favorite place seems to be within taverns, or hell; literally anywhere where people gather.
  Seems he enjoys both telling stories from his own past and hearing others, even going through the effort of writing them down from time to time.
  Each and every person you meet has a tale to tell.
  But what's his? Find out for yourself if you're in the mood for an ugly story.
  
  He has a fairly masculine face, which is complimented well by his moderately long ashen-brown hair which lies in unkempt curls, with a rough beard covering much of his cheeks and chin. His ears definitely call attention at all times, being fairly large and resembling a fruit bats. The faded-hazel eyes sunk into his skull seem to always have dark circles beneath them, yet gather each detail around him, remaining ever watchful of his surroundings. His lean yet muscular body appears capable of making swift movements at a moments noticed, rehearsed endlessly through training and past altercations. A pair of armored gauntlets cover most of his forearms, and strangely enough he never seems to tale them off... Scars adorn his body, marks of a warrior who has seen his fair share of fights and lived to tell the tale. The most notable of which are a diagonal mark that rests above his right eye and continues up through the brow, a deep slash in which starts from the left side of his mouth and goes on until it meets his ear. His mouth never quite looks closed on that side due to this, and doesn't do much for making him look approachable. As for clothing his typical attire falls under a slightly v-necked cloth jerkin, with a faded undershirt beneath. Pants that look better suited to a knight cover his legs, tucked into leather boots and kept snug at his waist with a worn strip of hide. Leather armor lies above his attire, with a cheap-dirt brown cloak draped over his shoulders.
  
  A bastard sword is slung over his shoulder in it's sheathe, accompanied by a hand-ax at his hip and a dingy buckler strapped onto his forearm. They all look to be in poor repair, showing signs of heavy use in the past.

• Background

  Rei-Lynn was born to a young Terakin woman and a Chiroptera male during times of war between man-made entities known as "The Divine" and their horrendous army of decayed husks.
  His birth could ironically enough be considered both a blessing and a curse, as members of the Terran species tend not to have very successful birth rates with their Beast-Terran counterparts.
  Rei-Lynn had three adopted siblings, all of which orphaned during wars, that his veteran father had taken into his home before his own son's birth.
  Rei-Lynn prefers not to delve into the details...
  
  He traveled with two people who would go on to be the closest friends in his life, going on numerous adventures. Rumors swirl that it was this group that took major part in overthrowing The Divine and the corruption that plagued their homeland's government.
  They seem to no longer be around, and details are rarely spoken of. Perhaps ask him yourself?
  
  As for remaining family, none of his adopted siblings remain. He once was engaged, apparently, and even has a young daughter, although most have no idea what came of them.
  
  Rei-Lynn, is a living conduit of The Decay, and since birth has carried this with him.
  
  At some point he left his homeland, for unknown reasons.
