    Teeth: sharp in the front, molars in the back
    Hands: webbed fingers, sharp nails
    Tail: shimmering soft green scales
    Gills: open and very visible, located on sides of neck

    Legs: weak during first use, functional after practice
    Gills: closed and sealed, very hard to see

    The Song of a Siren

    While the merfolk are famous for their kiss, they are infamous for their song. Sirens and merfolk are one in the same, though they are often only referred to as sirens when they are using their talents to manipulate others. They can use their voices to project their influential powers onto beings that are unaccustomed to the touch of magic.

    People who are young, lonely, or dissatisfied are most susceptible to the magical song's wordless promise of untold fulfillment, which is why it is often so easy for a siren to persuade entire crews of seamen to launch themselves from the safety of their ship. Any sort of resistance takes time to build, but a strong-willed person can accomplish this through multiple exposures to a siren's song and an understanding that its enticing sound offers absolutely no true fulfillment to those who longingly follow the voice. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
