• Description

  Typhon stands at some six feet, two inches tall and has grown muscular and well built. The draconic humanoid is covered from snout to clawed hands and feet with small red scales that protect him from most damage, and his wings, normally folded around his shoulders like a cloak, have a span measuring some twelve feet. His thick, muscular tail, nearly as long as he is, flicks and swished behind him while a tentacle, of darker red flesh than the red of his body, is curled about his waist like a belt. His bright blue eyes have reptilian slitted pupils and his forked tongue darts from between his sharp teeth now and then, though more often than not it's curved into a smile. Normally he goes shirtless but wears a waistcoat and a pair of loose trousers though his splayed, clawed feet are bare. Oftentimes he carries an ornately carved poleaxe with the blade formed in the shape of a dragon, a large silver broadsword, or an enormous black greatbow and arrows. Elementals of fire and water, wind and earth, light and darkness flutter around him in a variety of shapes. Butterflies, birds, spiders, serpents and others, each representing parts of him and his personality, his elementals are a sign of his connection with his home world.
  
  
  Sometimes he takes the form of a pale skinned elf. In this form he retains his black hair but one eye is blue and the other is red. A tattoo of a red dragon curls up and around his arm, with the head resting in the palm of his right hand.

• Biography

  Typhon was born of the dragon Artic Celest Breed and the devil Ezekiel Nigellus in the world called the Nexus. For the first eight years of his life he lived in the castle and out in the woods, blissfully unaware of the trials and tribulations going on around him. His home life was happy, but his parents and family were often busy with running the Nexus and he was often alone. This did not bother him much, as he made friends with the local dire wolf packs.
  
  Typhon first met his father when he was eight years old. And though the elder devil was not often around they struck up a close relationship. Particularly as Artic and Nigellus agreed that he would train Typhon in learning to use his power. Nigellus was a tough trainer. He taught Typhon how to fly by carrying him up too a great height, punching the wind out of his lungs, then dropping him down into a thunderstorm while still gasping for breath. He taught him how to use his power to survive by breaking and dislocating his wings then throwing him from a mountain top, down into a jungle known for its predators. Perhaps most importantly he taught Typhon that his body and soul needed to feed on the meat of intelligent, sapient creatures, or his body would wither, weaken and eventually die.
  
  Despite the harshness of training Typhon took to it well. Pain was a good teacher and his father was tough but fair and praised his successes. Still he would have been mentally scarred if he'd not met Luccile. He'd met the young elf girl in the woods one day, drawn by her beautiful voice. After rescuing her from a carnivorous plant, she sang for him in gratitude, and sang for him every time they met up afterwards. Her beautiful voice soothed the tormented images in his mind and Typhon quickly grew to adore her. Many times she was threatened by villains and bandits, and every time he leapt to her rescue. The increasing brutality that he used to leave messages to anyone else who would dare think of hurting his Lucille shocked her at first but she came to accept, and even approve of his displays of violence. In all innocence he pinky promised her that he would marry her one day.
  
  Four years later, Typhon was growing stronger, more aware, and more eager to learn what he was capable of. His father Nigellus had travelled to Hell for much of this time so his stepfather Veruen took over, interesting him in more martial training with weapons, while his mother arranged tutors to teach him his letters and numbers. It was about this time that Typhon faced his first great dilemma. Nigellus' ward, a fae named Kaska had come to the Nexus and right away the pair of them hit it off. Kaska was unlike Luccile in many ways. Mischievous, devious, cunning and dark, she encouraged his darker inclinations while Luccile encouraged his lighter inclinations. Both attracted him greatly though he felt a certain sense of guilt, and those he asked about it offered fairly useless advice on the subject. At first he thought that he could simply adore them both without acting on his feelings. But another incident took matters out of his hands.
  
  An Old One came visiting the Nexus on business with one of its servants. Not knowing any better and sensing something deeply Wrong with this person, he 'looked' at him, seeking to pierce its disguise. He succeeded. Typhon spent the next month with his eyes burned out of their sockets while his body repaired itself. Kaska and Lucille were beside themselves. They fawned over him, they adored him, they set their rivalry aside so they could care for him. During a break when Luccile stepped out of the room to make some stew, Typhon let slip that he had pinky promised to marry Luccile one day. He said this in all innocence, as Kaska had been all for the three of them marrying each other and skipping any impropriety. However she panicked, believing that his devil heritage enacting a holy ritual like marriage in a church would result in angels smiting him from above. So she demanded that he marry her first. She pleaded. She begged. And she was so earnest and sincere that Typhon could not help but agree, promising three times by the fae rules. Though he knew for a fact that there was going to be hell to pay when Lucille found out... And he was right. The lovely elf girl exploded with rage and Typhon spent the next month wandering the castle in darkness before Luccile forgave him enough to hug and kiss him again.
  
  Once he healed up Typhon resumed his day to day life. Weapon training with pole arms and bows. Practicing his magic. And sneaking into the woods one night to marry Kaska and fulfill the first of his vows. He did not point this out to Luccile lest she punch in in the face again...but the elfen girl seemed to be content to remain his fiance for now and not rush things. With this settled Typhon began the next stage of his training...connected with the elements of the Nexus and gaining greater control. Fire and wind had always been his strongest elements but he decided that in order to fight the Nexus' myriad enemies he needs to gain more power, and so he set out to connect with the land in a greater way than before. His greatest goal in the end is to grow strong enough that no dark gods, no Old Ones, no mad elementals and no poisons given life will be able to threaten his home and loved ones ever again.
  
  Typhon met Contemnite some years later in the midst of his quest to connect with the elementals. The standoffish drider and he became odd sorts of friends. He was positive and upbeat and optimistic. She was cynical and cold and sociopathic. They found themselves on a few adventures together though, and found ways to connect. Mainly due to their diet of eating people, a fondness for violent combat and Ty's overall persistence in spending time with her. Needless to say things got complicated during a fight with Outsider worshiping necromantic drug dealers and they wound up saving each other's life. After the battle, with adrenaline still rushing through their veins, they gave in to the urge and bedded each other on the spot amid the bodies of the dead. This led to a complicated relationship that became more complicated when Contemnite became pregnant. Kaska thought it was all quite funny. Luccile was unimpressed.
  
  With his personal life weaving in and out of being steady and on the verge of collapsing without warning, Typhon continued to learn and grow and study, making more connections with the elements and exploring what he was capable of. An impromptu test came when a starspawn of Bokrug, the Lord of Nightmares, broke through the astral defenses of is world and crashed into the earth, in the center of a village. Only Typhon was in a position to fight it. It would have taken too long for the realm's defenders to intervene. Unprepared, surprised, he nonetheless moved to engage, unwilling to let it terrorise the land. The effort to destroy it nearly killed him and he inadvertently discovered new magicks by channelling the power of the sun itself. Unfortunately civillian casualties were high, whether killed in the struggle or driven mad by the starspawn.
  
  Where he is now: Typhon has completed his pilgrimage throughout the Nexus, connecting himself with the land and gaining new perspective on who he is and why he does things. He seeks to be a good husband and lover to the three women in his life. Contemnite has agreed to marry him though Luccile waits until she completes her schooling. Needless to say he struggles to be a good father to his children, though he wonders at how successful he is. Each day he trains and works to improve himself, waiting for the day when Bokrug breaks through. And he struggles to find time to relax and unwind. Coupled with growing PTSD from the drama and destruction he has seen, Typhon is growing more tense. When battle comes, he will have his chance to unleash it all to defend his world, his people, and those he loves.
