  As rough-and-tumble as any Varr, Bergljot is generally good-tempered for all her ragged edges. Loyal to the bone, stubborn, and protective, some might say she’s not the brightest captain of the Varr-- she’s challenged warleaders more than once-- but Berg does have a good handle on how far she can push an individual. She hunts her targets with a vengeance and a cackle, and loves nothing more than a good hunt!
  
  Berg is very much a ‘mother wolf’ to her squad-pack, taking the stance that only she is allowed to terrorize them (because she is familiar with their boundaries); coupled with her own fearsomeness in combat, few dragons under her command are prone to challenging her. Newcomers learn quickly that what few rules she does set should be followed. (A certain amount of roughhousing is expected in this squad, but-- like all the Varr military-- punishments tend to be harsh and physical, however infrequent they may be.)
  
  Sergeant of a Varr mixed company, Bergljot is used to having a good deal of autonomy. She has learned to bow to her commanding officers, but is rather infamous for speaking her mind no matter the consequences-- she is very much not an intelligence officer! In turn, she accepts rather more insubordination than most Varr commanders are willing to; her squadmates are her adoptive younger siblings, not her servants. (She is rather infamous for being on good terms with her hunting wing of Spirals and Nocturnes, and has also been known to shelter Fae now and again.)
