• Description

  The otter was large, larger than most otters would ever dream of. Muscles rolled under sleek fur, hidden by carefully pressed button up shirt, vest, tie, and dress pants. It was a rare thing to see even a single loose fur on the otter's clothing, much less a wrinkle. Kain uses a cane, and occasionally he can be seen limping slightly, though most of the time one would hardly realize he actually needs the thing. Recently the otter had started drinking, proving to be a rather unpleasant person to be around when he'd had a few drinks in him.

• Biography

  Born as twins in Japan, Kain and Kadence had never been far apart, the large male always looking out for his sick little sister. Their father left the family while they were still young, leaving their mother to care for them as best as she could. The little family of three moved to Britian at this time, and both siblings still carry a strong British accent. Babysitters and nannies were all scared off under Kaddy's orders, though Kain was the one who did most of the grunt work for her little schemes. Finally their mother simply gave up on hiring anyone, telling Kain that he was to watch over his sister from now on, something the large otter took to heart.
  
  Kaddy's illness only worsened as she grew older, and it wasn't long before the girl was bedridden, their mother struggling to pay for doctors and nurses to care for the girl, and even Kain getting what little jobs he could to try and help pay for things. Tragedy struck the pair, their mother falling ill as well, and leaving Kain to struggle in trying to support his family. However, their mother simply got worse and worse, until one day the twins were left alone. It wasn't long before they had to leave their home, and they set off, following job after job and trying to find the best doctors in hopes that one would have some answer to Kaddy's illness.
  
  Nothing could be found, all of the doctors coming up with poor answers, few solutions. The twins managed to take the few solutions they were given, designing a mask that dispensed an inhalant that helped relieve the attacks of Kaddy's illness, allowing her to finally leave her room and see the outside world. Kain took a short term job at The Golden Tether a short time later, and Kaddy simply fell in love with the whole place, with the people, the atmosphere, everything, while Kain quickly grew to hate it. He was far too concerned about his sister's sudden freedom and the dangerous beings about the place taking advantage of her to truly appreciate the Tether as anything but a huge, crowded building with high expenses where he could easily loose Kaddy. With the constant stresses Kain started drinking more, fighting with his sister about why she wasn't safe and trying to convince her to leave.
  
  With expenses growing Kain was sure they would have a reason to leave, though Kaddy had other ideas. She convinced her brother to fight in the arena with the same ease that she had always used when convincing him to scare off their babysitters as children. The otter agreed reluctantly, and in the first battle Kain took a harsh defeat, one that left him needing the use of a cane, though he quickly befriended the man who gave him the scars. Still, being crippled was harsh for the large otter, as was the fact that Kaddy was becoming more and more independent, even deciding to use the magic that her brother mistrusted. More often Kain would turn to the drink, fighting with Kaddy nearly constantly, the twins who had been so close becoming more and more angry with each other every passing day.
