• At a Glance

  Long buttery-white hair tumbles down to curl just below the pert little peach of her buttocks, and serves as the only bit of cover she cares to keep. Her eyes are of a silvery amethyst hue, and her skin is very, very fair. So fair in fact, one might swear they could see the tracery of ghostly blue veins pumping strong and sure just beneath. Once, where joints of her body meet, such as her knees, elbows, shoulders, as well as her cheeks and other soft rounds of flesh, there were dustings of the most curiously colored freckles-no more. Those freckles that shine and glimmer have taken shape and formed curly-q designs along every little inch of her body, as though the breath of a passing wind has marked itself in artful swirls. The most striking feature upon the fae's body however are a pair of elegantly wicked looking runes that run the length of her back from the space between her wing blades down to the tops of that peachy rump of hers.
  
  Usually seen out and about in her most minute form of five inches, Shang is a very happy and guileless moon fae. Wearing nothing but the skin she was born in, she flits around on wings that while brilliant and shining in their own right, cannot be describe as any other pattern than crystalline. Though seemingly fragile, the wings are, and forever more will remain mithril strong despite their fragmented build. Within that build and it's slivered pattern are little whorls of disruption; lodes of power that glow fierce and bright as the eye of a manticore when the tiny fae is feeling particularly emotional or empowered.
  
  Her voice holds the reminiscence of bells, as if dwarves had mastered the art of gilding lily of the valley blossoms into ornaments that mimicked man's metal chimes. At times she speaks in half riddles and queer sorts of poetry, as if she were a muse, but still, despite her many metamorphoses, there's never a time she doesn't echo herself in the third person.
  
  A sweet mischief maker and good natured pest at heart, Shang's demeanor is warm and more often than not she means for the best to happen. One of the willful fae's favorite pastimes, however, is hovering about people(strangers or familiars) that she finds interesting. Should one catch this small, winged lady in a particularly demure and docile mood, it has not been unheard of for her to perch on an unsuspecting traveler's head and lounge... so it's safe to say personal space isn't a concept she keeps.
  
  Born a creature of talents and boundless power that suite her quirky personality, Shang has the ability to shift her size and her skin. When she moves about in crowded spaces with any real intent of remaining unseen, she blends into her surroundings very much like a chameleon, though to the degree of sheer invisibility. Being Fae has given her a wonderful tolerance to mortal alcohol, and her favorite beverage by far is a warm tankard of mead. Very much like a humming bird can be coaxed with sugar water, Shang can be easiliy lured with the warm, heady promise of a mead tankard. It is by far the easiest way to lure the at times finicky fairy from her hiding places.
  
  If she should be startled or in danger, behind the blink of an eye she'll shoot to the height of a towering tree. The only real physical danger one runs risk of, however, is from the petite, yet potent bit of venom stored in her body; a venom that's delivered only by the quaint, quail-tail like ends of her shining wings. Mind the points, they're not just for show, and though it would pain her to use them, Shang is aware they're there for a reason, and will not hesitate to use them if the straights are dire.
  
  Though she loves to joke and the occasional torture at someone's expense, she's a very gentle-hearted little thing. When in need, this tiny fae will help or comfort the best she can; Shang's greatest joy is helping others.

• History

  Shang's conception was a thing straight out of well... a fairy tale. Birthed from somewhere in the spaces between a dream and a kiss, she is truly a miracle of love and loneliness. High above the planets roamed and ruled a very benevolent moon goddess bent on the peaceful sleep of man. Virtuous and true as she was though, like any deity emulating the feminine form so obviously made to give life, the goddess craved a child. It was her dream; her only dream in fact. With no viable womb, and nothing but her heart ripe and full to bursting, she despaired, and for the first and only time in her life, she slept. From this sleep came a single blossom, and for that blossom the goddess had nothing but the utmost love, so she kissed it, and Shang was.
  
  Although her body came in physically mature, and emulated her goddess sire in every maidenly aspect, her mind was as blank and innocent a slate as any infant. Shang's birth begat more siblings and servants to the goddess, but none quite as special as she, her first and truest child.
  
  During her earliest years, the little fairy spent the whole of her time learning how to use her basest skills to navigate the honeycomb-like realm of dreamer's minds that her mother-goddess looked after. This was to be her and her younger sibling's duty as well in time. Encouraging epiphanies, curing nightmares, bringing death, love, healthy means of fear, as well as rest, to the whole of the realms from both high and low. Once well versed in her own world, Shang begged to be sent to the worlds where their precious dreamers dreamed from; exotic places full of everything both mundane and magical-she wanted to know. Wanted to see.
  
  Since her traveling through the worlds, Shang has made many a friend and mentor, but none as great as the Ice Mage Celeth. The two have a deep care for one another, and a pact between them that runs deeper still. For Celeth and others, she is not just a companion, but a potent well of power that needs protecting; one they know and respond to when in distress, and most without the slightest ounce of mercy. To siphon or harm the fairy in any manner is to risk a wrath beyond reckoning, but more importantly, above all else, one risks losing the guileless lovely's trust and friendship...
