• The deets

  Transformation is a painful and, at first, arduous process. Without really knowing what she's doing, the first few times Saori transforms are both lengthy and extremely dangerous, risking scrambling her insides on the way back. However, with practice and experience, Saori becomes able to transform in seconds flat, without compromising her health (or her clothes, for that matter, which appear to metamorphosise with her). Her transformation is a load of body horror that normally goes by too fast to register: her veins turn bright blue before she starts to grow - inside first. As such, anyone extremely grossed out by graphic body horror probably shouldn't interact with Saori if she's been robotised.
  
  Transforming is still a dangerous process, though, and the longer Saori does this for without proper care, the more stress her body will go under. This could have a few negative effects such as hair discolouration, bone atrophy, or worse. The stress of having to slip away and fight robots on an eventually near-weekly basis takes a toll on her mental health as well as her physical, and cuts out large chunks of her sleep schedule.
  
  Once she's activated her robot form for the first time, Saori's eyes gain an unnatural and bright blue glow which is only really noticeable in the dark.
