    Short. Stout. Yep: it's a Dwarf.
    Arms, shoulders and chest show a lot of upper-body definition and a little bulk. Cheeks, nose, and forehead are rosy pink from sunburn.
    Hair is distressed; getting it into this position seems to be no easy fight.
    If hands are bare, you'll notice callouses and grease so deep in the cracks it's like a tattoo.
    Lots of scars, in random directions and locations, especially on her hands and arms.
    Even her knuckles are scarred over.
    Frequently barefoot.
    Smells like the salt air of the harbor. (Does not smell like Ale or Pie, as most Dwarves might.)
    Eyes are dark-colored, and frequently wide when she's showing interest in a problem or discussion.

    Biography
    If you've seen the ship <The Intrepid>, you may have seen her fussing about with sails, engines, cooking, cleaning, growing plants in flowerpots, brewing liquor, manipulating hextants, calculating course headings, tinkering with sewing machines, fishing, stomping or swatting bugs, brewing potions and elixirs, peering over engineering schemata, tying/untying knots, weaving bandages, dehydrating fruit, smoking fish, sprouting beans, drawing sketches of ships, discussing the difference between types of rigging or sails, buying/selling/trading at an auction house, or delivering babies. It's all in a day's work for a sailor. Other than that, you probably haven't heard of her, unless you've overheard some dirty limericks or singing late at night on the streets while the crew's on shore leave.
