• Altair was born a vampire a long time ago. His mother was a weak and insignificant. A simple human, who was bitten and made wife of a small king. She bore only Altair, and he was her only solace in her lonely life. Even though his father was a king, he himself was no prince. His place in the hierarchy was low, and he became insignificant like his mother.
  On may have seen this as a curse, but it turned out to be Altair’s way out. His low status allowed him to travel around. To get him out of the way, he was granted a ship and a crew. He travelled to countless isles and countries, living the life of a young and adventurous man. While he travelled, he met two other young vampires. They became a sort of friends, with each their role in the companionship. Altair was the clever one, hiding behind sly words and his long white hair. The youngest vampire was the stronger one, wearing a gold armor and possessing enough bravery for the three of them. The oldest one was the powerful one, running through the world with sheer luck and bloodthirst. The three of them lived in some kind of symbiosis. Their ways sometimes parted over the decades, but they always returned.
  One day, when they had grown well into their years, the oldest one found himself sitting on a throne, with a crown sitting on his head. His two friends had no other choice than to bow to him, and do as was told. At the mercy of the oldest friend, they were both made his personal counsellors.
