• History

  The Lazy Espada, The Queen of Perversion, or simply Sophie. These names and more have been used for the Woman that is the Cero Espada. Between her life spent as a Human, and her Time as a Hollow Soul, she gained many things, including her own Self image and a Deep Ember. That Ember can spark at the best of moments, inciting the Generally-lazy woman to Show her power, to show the strength of her will.

  Born in the Year 1682, to the Daughter of a Serving Woman in the Palace of the Duke of Anjou, Life was more than awkward for the Girl. Taken into the palace by her father, as a child whom could never inherit his name or title, she was treated as though she were no more than a ward of the Duke D'Anjou. Treated well by the Servants, she was raised under the strictest of Secrecy, she was not to know of her Father, and assumed that he was no more than a Knight under the Duke whom had been killed in battle somewhere. Soon after her birth, however, when Sophie was no more than two years old, she was passed to one of the Servants of the Household, her Birth Mother, by the Duke himself, who told the woman to flee France. Anjou was no longer a Safe place, and he wanted his daughter gone.
  
  It took Several months, but following the Duke's instructions to the Letter, Sophie's mother took the Girl, raising her while traveling, linking up with a group of Romani who were traveling, at the time, towards the East. Passing through Italy and Greece as she was raised among the Traveling Performers. Knowing that she'd be unable to stop her Daughter from learning their ways, no matter what she did, Sophie's Mother instead supported her daughter's new-found knack for learning, and soon Sophie was picking up tricks and skills from the Romani.
  
  Soon, the girl was a Teenager, and had covered much of Southern Europe, from the Russian Balkans, all the way to India with the group, and was as well-read as any Courtly Lady could dream of being. The Romani had taken it as their duty to Educate her in math, how to read and some sciences, as well as their own tricks of Bladework and Acrobatics. The Fortune-Teller herself had taken the Girl for a week, and while Sophie would never say a thing of what happened there, it changed her life. Where she had tended towards being a Cheerful Girl, full of Youthful Energy, she now Devoted herself to Study and Training. She had a Goal, and when the Caravan arrived in Germanic lands once more, she Excused herself from the Group, Leaving her mother with a Hug and a knowing smile.
  
  Tan of skin and lithe of Body, Sophie had grown into a Beautiful young woman, and although the man that she now knew had been her father was long dead, she would never forget his kindness to her. Carrying no more than a Dagger and a Whip, she set out to Find herself in the world, to find a way of going about her life and Meeting the end of it with Honor and a courageous Face.

  Crossing the Continent slowly, it was in a small Village in Hungary that Sophie met several men, men whose coats, while natty, were threadbare and Torn at the same time. Describing themselves as Soldiers of Fortune, they won her heart with stories of War and Battle, and Offering to Fix their clothing won her even more stories. The tales enchanted her, filling her dreams that night with scenes of herself, an Amazon in battle, sending foes fleeing in terror. When the men left the Town, so too did she. Following them for Several days without being noticed, or at least commented on, it was on an especially cold Night in November that the Two men called out to her, telling her to come warm herself. Emerging from the bushes, where she had considered herself quite well hidden, she Came by the fire. Sitting slowly, she was afraid that they would be incised with her, but was surprised when they slapped her on the back, commending the Girl on her Courage to have followed them.
  
  Gleaning more of their current situation from the men, she finally learned their names. Jaorim, the darker of the two was actually a Turk, a former soldier of the Ottoman Empire, and Fabian was from the Austrian Empire's mighty Army. The two men had met in battle, been unable to best one another, and had instead decided to join with one another, leaving the Field of battle to find their own way. Both men were large of form, well-defined and honed by battle. Yet, in the end, Fabian's eyes seemed to hold more kindness towards her than Jaorim's, and in time as she followed them, her heart began to yearn for Fabian's touch.
  
  Time itself is a Cruel master, one which enslaves all mankind, and desire a cruel Temptress of men. While Fabian was more than willing to accept Sophie's affection towards him, with each day watching the two of them, Jaorim's heart grew more and more cold, more and more fierce. His lust burning inside of his soul until his body could no longer contain it. One cold, winter's night, as the three slept close around the Fire, he awoke, his body screaming for the release that only one could offer. With a Hand Clamped over her mouth, the Turkish warrior kept her silent whilst he Fulfilled his own lusty desires.
  
  When it was over, it was all that Sophie could do to keep quiet, but the memories haunted her mind, changing her, in personality and in appearance. Where the Young woman once used to keep herself groomed in a manner that made Fabian comment that she was "Always fit for Court", she now allowed herself to become slovenly, hair matting atop of her head, clothes caked with Dirt and her skin grey with the pallor of those who have died inside already. When Fabian, the man with whom she had fallen in love with asked her what was wrong, Sophie could say nothing to him, she felt as though she had betrayed him, and when she Hanged herself, he understood.
  
  She wouldn't know what had happened after her death, there was no way for her to know. Finding the woman he had grown to love, her body limp from the branches of a mighty Oak, Fabian turned on Jaorim in a rage. Why had she killed herself, what had happened, surely, he desperately inquired, Jaorim might know something. Well, know the Turk did, and with a Boastful air, he bragged about how he had taken the white whore's body as his own, Claiming it before Fabian could have the chance. Jaorim's boasts lasted him until his death, at the end of a sharp Blade, pushed through his gut. Even as he bled out on the ground, crimson staining the soil, the Turkish Soldier's laugh rang through the air.
  
  "Death"
  
  Even as her neck snapped, Sophie was submerged in the world of the dead, her eyes seeing for the first time the spirits of those killed in battle. She was ignored by them mostly, but watched them still, agonizing over loved ones, Swearing revenge on those that had defeated them in the mortal existence. It was heartbreaking, especially as Fabian moved on, leaving her soul alone with that of Jaorim. Not a pleasant person in life, he became worse in death, becoming a hollow quickly, trying to destroy Sophie's spirit. Though she tried to Flee, she was unable to, and with a sudden burst of rage, her mind snapped. She had been Terrorized by this beast in life, Brought to her own death, and now…now, even in death she could not escape this hideous monster. Gripping the Chain that bound her to the Tree, she Pulled, as hard as she could, and with a Hideous Ripping sound, the Chain tore from beneath her breasts, Leaving an empty hole.
  
  From what seemed to be eternal darkness in the hole, Bone and Shadow lept out, covering her face, her body, She could still see, could remember one thing, ripping the Soul of Jaorim in twain, devouring him in pieces. Then the hunger set in fully. Blacking out, she wouldn't know what had happened until a century later, her hunger finally satiated somewhat, she came back to consciousness. Her body felt stronger, and the impression lay upon her that…for some reason, she no longer looked the same. Reaching up to touch her face, she found instead a mask, different from her first one. The feel, the touch of it, reminded her of the Dragons of Romani lore, and breathing deeply, she focused on her own form, feeling the energy, sheer power, that flowed through her. There were voices, many voices in her mind, but she ignored them, silencing them with ease. "What…" she growled, surprised at her own voice. "What am I?"
  
  That hunger soon returned, the clamoring of spirits within Sophie's form for Food, for the souls of Hollow and man to join them, to be fed upon, and Giving into the desire, the Female Adjuchas began to devour more and more souls, more and more Hollow, even giving a Shinigami chase within the human world and Consuming it's soul as well. With every ounce of power, every meal that she consumed, Sophie's power Grew, as did her form. Soon, she Rivaled Menos in height, her power nearly triple that of the other Adjuchas'. With all the power, and the form changes, her body soon came to resemble that of a Dragon, a Wyvern, it's tail bladed and jaws powerful…But it wasn't enough, soon the mask itself came to itch her face, an ever-present scratching on her nerves. It was too small, it was constricting her. With a Mighty rush of power, reaching behind it, she tore, ripping through the Bone and Flinging it to the side. A shard of the bony mask, however, a tooth from the Jaw, remained on her Face, clinging to her chin.
  
  As her power swirled, it gathered around her, consolidating, swirling and whipping around her, yet moving closer and closer. When it ended, there she stood, naked in the Deserts of Hueco Mundo, her mind intact, the voices silent. In her hand, there lay a Shiv, a makeshift knife, and wrapped around her waist, like a belt, was a long whip. A new hunger grew in her body, Consuming her thoughts. It was a low, rolling heat in her belly, and she Recognized it from her time as a human. The feeling, the Need, it was Lust. The heat in her belly demanding that she respond to it, and throwing down a nearby male, she fulfilled it. When one need was filled, she proceeded to Fill the other desire in her body, eating the Male entirely. Her body, it was strong, massively so, and it required both of these foods, she soon discovered. As she fed, however, her power continued to grow, and soon, in no more than her Normal form, her riatsu would kill surrounding Hollow, the weaker ones.
  
  When Sophie finally came upon Los Noches, she discovered Hollow…no, they called themselves Arrancar now, that were able to withstand her energy, as massive as it was. She had found some sort of home. This home nurtured her abilities, finally allowing her the Rank and prestige that her power demanded, that of the Espada commander.

• Tidbits

  Personality and Traits
  
  A physical embodiment of Desire in it's many forms, Sophie acts like it. She's not greedy, but she wants a lot of things. Be it Recognition, Physical contact or Just sheer Admiration, she tends to do whatever she can to Garner attention. She can be Childish and immature at times, and other times be immensely serious. Sophie also seems to be rather lazy, sending her Fraccion, whom she holds in high regard, to battle instead of her, merely watching and interfering with as little effort as Needed. When she does get into a Fight, her moves tend to be Flashy, relying on Awe-inspiring motions, rather than effective combat Strategies, showing a high lack of Regard for her opponents. However, when one manages to impress her, her demeanor changes immensely, growing serious and eliminating all of the extraneous movements from her fighting.
  
  Appearance and Clothing
  
  Reaching a rather average height for a woman, Sophie's Body is, however Lithe and Curvy, her muscles well toned under her usual clothing. Wearing a beautiful skirt and a blouse that is reminiscent of clothing from her time period on earth, they are modified to bring out her body's form and curves even more than they would normally. Her skirt and Blouse are a pale white color, a Sharp contrast to her deeply-tanned skin. Her eyes, a soft blue, go perfectly, however, with pale cornsilk hair. Pouty lips and thin face accentuate her body even further. A Black Sash wraps around her waist, the ends hanging down on her hip, and hanging from it lay her usual weapon of choice, a long whip.

• Abilities and powers

  Zanpakuto: Socro-bori
  Sealed form
  
  Broken into Two parts, each part sealing her power equal amounts, Sophie's Zanpakuto Socro-Bori takes the Forms of a Long whip, made of a Darkly-tanned leather, about 15 feet in total length. The tip of the whip is split, the individual ends tied off, each one able to (depending on how it's used) to cut, or bludgeon. The Second Part of Socro-Bori is an oddity. Filled with Sophie's Riatsu, the tiny weapon looks like more of a Prisoner's makeshift Shiv, rather than a Zanpakuto. A piece of Dowel, fitted perfectly to the length of her hand, with a Groove down one side, this Weapon has Wire wrapped around it, then fitted down the Groove. The Tip of the wire has been sharpened, forming a simple Spike-like weapon.
  Resurrección
  
  Forbidden to Go beyond her First Release inside of Los Noches, Sophie has a Dual-Stage Resurrección. In her Sealed form, the Espada has an attack power weaker than that of the Novena Espada. Her First Release surges through her body with energy, Instantly raising her to a power equalivilant to that of the Quinta Espada. Where Bone before had only been present on her chin, as a Small Diamond mark, it stretches now, splitting and Forming around her jaw like a strap. Continuing to the back of her neck, Bone Stretches down her spine Forming Wings at her shoulders and a Tail behind her. This Tail ends in a Scythe-like Blade, wide and sharp. Coming down from her shoulders, Bone now forms claws over her hands that Allow her to Slash out with Riatsu in a Cero-like attack of Concentrated energy in a Thin place, making it Feel more intense.
  
  Even more intense, when Sophie-Gwenaëlle D'Anjou releases her final form, her riatsu jumps up, Past the Level of the Primary Espada, Close, still, to the level of the Espada's commander herself. Her body altering Drastically, her face is hidden within the Bony Mask of a Wyvern's face, Bone stretching to cover her limbs, but not only stretching, but expanding, becoming thick armor that Covers her body, responding to her movements. Draconic in look, almost Five stories in height, the Released form of the Cero Espada is a frightening and powerful thing to behold. Riatsu used in Cero comes to gather in the Wyvern's mighty Jaws, Launching with powerful force, ripping through the air with power and Fury. Now, even more than ever before, her Power manifests in the air itself, Creating Powerful shock-waves with Screams, Screeches, Roars and Even through her Cero and Bala. If hit Directly by a Focused blast of these shock-waves alter the Body's Equilibrium. The effects of this can cause Dizziness, Nausea and disorientation, including a loss of Coordination. However, as this power is dependent on Sound-wave energy through the air, Any Obstruction can Cause it to lose power or Concentration in it's intensity.
