• Biography

  Known only as Grimharl, his past is a little mysterious; anything going back over ten years is a closely-guarded secret, but Grimharl seeks to distract people's curiosity by excelling at whatever task he's assigned.
  
  He seeks to keep busy and be useful, and that ethic tends to guide most of his actions. He is polite, well-trained, and fairly unshakeable. It's hard to make his composure crack, rare to hear him laugh out loud, and rarer to catch him on his time off. But he's modest, calm, and - some might say - good-hearted.
  
  The only thing that stands in the way of his being a perfect noble's servant seems to be an unfortunate condition of his. This triggers when he's splashed with more than a cupful of water, and results in a fairly sudden (and usually highly inconvenient) transformation into a merfurre - that is, his lower half changes to a tail covered in sea-blue scales and accented with white fins. He can also breathe underwater through long gills that appear on his ribs.
  
  To transform back, it takes waiting until his fur is dry again, to at least less-than-a-cup-level.
  
  On land, this is a massive inconvenience. In seas or lakes, he's peachy - at least, health-wise. Grimharl is not a big fan of the whole thing, declaring it to be "a career-impeding nuisance of an infliction that I'd be better off without".
