"No, i-it's okay! I'm a good witch! See?"
Origins:
Zenith was born a witch unbeknownst to her. An orphan from a young age, she began to experience the effects of her powers and became frightened of her own abilities that caused the locals to run her out of town.
One day while scouring a book shop for an explanation for her powers, she accidentally set the book in her hands on fire. Terrified that the shopkeep would report her, she burst into tears and begged for forgiveness. Lucky for her, the shopkeep himself was a ghost bound to the book store. He'd seen enough magic in his life to know exactly what was going on.
From then on, Zenith had a mentor in Nyk, the friendly phantom. She studied under his direction and went on to travel and use her magic to do good deeds for common people that showed her kindness.
Accomplishments:
~ attached an unbinding spell to a bracelet so that Nyk could leave the shop whenever he wore the item
~ very naively wagged a scolding finger in the face of Satan himself after they'd had tea together, and somehow came out of it unscathed
~ befriended Poet, a lonely demon, and helped him organize his spellbooks -

"Why can't I go back home? I promise to be good."
Zenith was turned against her will by a rogue vampire. Scared, confused, and hungry, she wandered for a few days before a coven master known as "Poet" found her. Angered by her plight and smitten by her innocence, he quickly took to her and made her somewhat of a pet of his in the coven.
Zenith has been referred to as a "bad vampire" behind Poet's back. She cries when she has to drink from a live human, and now the fridge is stocked with blood packets from the blood bank for her benefit. She doesn't like to fight, and the smell of the werewolf living in their odd coven doesn't seem to bother her at all.
As the months passed, Poet discovered a growing talent in Zenith that he began to nurture. The girl had an incredible talent for hearing thoughts. So much so, that he had to teach her how to block out the noise of everyone thinking all the time. Zenith became Poet's right-hand vampire for interrogations and meetings, the girl quietly piping up when a lie was heard. When she learned how to push her will into other heads and kill people from the inside out, her power became infamous in the vampire world. No one goes near Poet the coven master and his creepy pet.
Zenith didn't ask for any of it. She doesn't like to be called creepy. She isn't happy when people are scared of her. Poet is her solace. She can never go back to her human life, but as long as he continues to love her and keep her close, everything in her upside down world is secure. -

"...No more pain?"
Don't let the body reference picture fool you. Zenith spends most of her time on the ground, hunched over timidly with her ears laid back and her big round eyes staring up at all the creatures around her that are much more confident than she. A life of trauma has shaken all the big smiles and long flights right out of her.
Zenith was kidnapped from her planet and put on a space ship that served as a travelling zoo. She was beaten into quiet obedience by the "alpha" of a pack of zoo creatures that took her in and abused her gentle nature. When a cryogenically frozen human named Barnaby was revived and added to the mix, he beat down Zenith's abusers and became her new, protective, endearing alpha.
Zenith will probably never be rid of all of her jumpiness and timidity from the time of abuse and trauma, but she's happy that she has an alpha who understands her quiet fears and does all he can to keep her safe.
