BASICS OF MAGIC» Since she is a witch, Elodié is able to wield magic. While this does make her signifigantly more powerful than a regular person, it gives her little physical advantages. Her bond with a familiar has extended her life an unknown number of years and her powers have also been enhanced through this deal. She generally relies a lot on spiritual power, often drawing magic from other planes than the physical to amp up her spells.
LAW OF SIMILARITY» Like affects like. Elodié makes use of the Law of Similarity often by using a substitute that symbolizes a real-life counterpart. This will usually be a human-like figure or a living animal, though usually the former.
LAW OF CONTACT» Things which have once been in contact with each other are still bound after the physical contact has been severed. By possessing something like the blood or hair of a person, Elodié can affect them at a distance.
ANIMANCY» Manipulating life-forces and spiritual energy in order to restore or animate. Elodié is able to heal injuries and illnesses, although she often does this through invocing spirits or by blood magic.
CURSE INDUCEMENT / REMOVAL» Elodié is able to both place and remove curses. She is, however, only able to remove a curse if she knows the exact nature of it and is stronger than the person who placed it.
DIVINATION» The ability to gain insight or forsee possible futures. Elodié is able to somewhat accurately see the possible truths and futures of events. She can do this by communicating with spirits or reading patterns. She often uses bones cast as dice for the latter.
ELEMENTAL MANIPULATION» Elodié is, to a limited degree, able to implement the elements into her magic. She has a special affinity for Water and Earth - a perfect combination for someone who has spent most of their life practising in the bayous of Louisiana.
EMPATHY» Through spiritual energy, Elodié is able to mentally connect with and influence lesser beings. She often uses this to see through the eyes of animals.
NECROMANCY» Through spirit possession or binding through blood or bone magic, she is able to temporarily reanimate a corpse. She is unable to permanently bring someone back from the dead. She can briefly restore the soul of someone, but the longer they have been dead the harder this will be.

Any information on magic is limited to the sort that Elodié is capable of wielding and I am somewhat willing to compromise or alter it, should she be involved with a character using magic based on other concepts. It does not need to apply to the character of a potential partner. I am, however, pretty specific about a sense of 'realism' in magic.
