• Background

  Alina was born poor and was raised with five other siblings. When she was eight, her mother married to a nobleman and had taken three of her siblings with her, her older two sisters and older brother, but left herself and her younger sister and brother to fend for themselves in an orphanage. Once her father heard (he had went into the military and abandoned the family), he took them in but once her mother found out she spitefully took them away and had him arrested for false allegations. Her siblings were sent to relatives and she was forced to work in a factory. The factory owner was cruel and barely took care of their workers, making them work 19 hours a day with only five hours of leisure (it was one of the worst factories in England). Whenever she could, she would soak up the outside world and relish in the small amount of freedom. One of her only friends was Ciel before his parents died. This went on for a year and then there was a fire at the factory and everyone but herself died. She had managed to get to a hidden exit before it was blocked off and survived. When she managed to get out, it was presumed that she was dead too so she went searching for help. When the owner of the factory found out, he took her and sold her to a man who illegally practiced on the elderly, ill, and young with his odd medical treatments. She was trapped there for a week before she was killed during the procedure. As she died (she actually died before he came), she made contract with a demon and made a wish for revenge against everyone she deemed guilty of her murder and in the end wants to make sure her mother knows that she was the head culprit.
  After the contract is made: When she awakens after making the deal, she is technically a walking corpse. This will cause problems for her later involving the grim reapers, being she was already supposed to be claimed by them by the time she made her contract.
  
  When she rejoins civilization, her mother takes her in as a way of showing people that she's "a great mother and had no idea that she was put to work like that" and she blames it all on Alina's father. Her siblings agree with her mother.
  
  This is my favorite OC for Black Butler.

• Extra

  When she awakens after making the deal, she is technically a walking corpse. This will cause problems for her later.

  During the time of her absence, the relative caring for her younger siblings died and the two had also died from sickness not long after.
