• Biography

  Maria Viktoria II. von Ankrath used to be the princess of a kingdom, that by now is long forgotten. Ankrath fell over a hundred years ago, as anarchy had too long ruled in it´s streets. Decades of pillaging and murdering without any rules or laws had taken their toll, as the kingdom had no longer had a king, from the moment the old one was murdered.
  
  Maria grew up in the kingdom of Ankrath as daughter of Iluvatar, King of Ankrath and Maria Viktoria, Queen of Ankrath. The two humans ruled a kingdom of peace and happiness, that was upright and religious. Iluvatar made sure, every citizen had the possibilty to live free and good.
  
  Some however still distasted the king. Especially a cult, believing in demonic gods and rituals. Over years, they planned a raid at the kings castle. They had moles in his court, they had everything they needed. Shortly after Maria had turned 12, they made it happen. Slaughtering those, that were in their ways, they made their way to the king. Iluvatar was just spending time with his wife and child, when a bunch of hooded men barged in. Without a word, they stabbed the king, then his daughter. The mother, however, was raped, over and over. First, she prayed to the gods. Not for herself, but that her poor daughter would somehow survive. But soon, she understood, the gods had forsaken her. She started praying to something darker. The dark forces took Maria´s soul, which would never have gotten to them otherwise, but left her alive. But without her soul, Maria was only half human anymore. The other half had become demonic. Maria however was unconcious from the moment she got stabbed. She witnessed none of that.
  
  When Maria woke up, she was already outside of the castle. Ankrath had fallen to anarchy since a few days. Maria had no notice of that yet, however. She was laying in a coach, with more corpses. Her mother and father among them. She knew they were dead. She spotted the driver of the coach a little before her, who had no notice of the fact she was not dead. A wave of cold rage washed over her. Sneaking up to the driver, she took a knife from him and stabbed him. It was little she could do to get rid of the anger and sadness she felt. Then, she jumped off the coach. It had stopped, the horses too scared to go on. She pulled her parents of it and burried them. Then she took a horse and rode off.
  
  Maria strode the lands for quite some time, seven years to be precise, and she learned sadness was not what got you through life. She tried to live as happy as she could, her new abilities, that she learned to use to her best over time. Travelling, earning money for the day each day by small missions. She always waited for her big part to play, for the reason she was alive. She always felt empty, she never really had a cause, hoping, she would some day be able to spot what it was.
