Everyone by now knows the story of The Symbiote. The one who gave Good guy Peter Parker a moment of rebellion. But that is where most stories end. They never want to continue. They never want to tell their children what really happened to it. And who it found next.
Eddie Brock had always been in contegion with Peter Parker in the Daily Globe. Always playing second fiddle to Parker's uncanny ability to capture the Web-Slinger on film, he knew he needed to make a big splash. What better way to achieve this, then to nab the serial killer known as "Sin-Eater" that was running around the city? As if it was too good to be true, he was soon contacted by an individual who claimed to be the killer. Pressure coupled by the desire to upstage Parker, Eddie wrote the Globe's next huge story, exposing the man as the Sin-Eater himself. However, this would all be in vain since the real serial killer would soon be caught by none other than Spider-Man, rendering Brock's accusation completely false.
What happened next was a downward spiral that led Eddie to very dark places in his mind. Depressed and suicidal, he soon found himself divorced, ex-communicated by his father, and working for tabloid magazines. He was obsessed with bringing the heroic Spider-Man down. Fueled by revenge and hate for the Web Slinger, he turns to bodybuilding to relieve stress, though that never takes away his rage and hate.
It would be fate that led Brock to a church where he had no idea Spider-Man was. As Parker battled with the parasitic Symbiote in the bell tower, Brock was praying to God for his suicidal thoughts. Using the sound waves of the bell, Parker manages to escape the Symbiote, leaving it.. Abandoned in the rafters. However, sensing Brock, it soon found it's newest host. Both sharing hatred for the same person, it was a pairing that would soon prove to be lethal.
Eddie Brock was no longer after that night. And thus..
Venom was born.
