  ▲ Aurae's Backstory ▲ Aurae was born into her nomadic called the Eternal Eyes. The tribe tended to stay in the deep north to avoid unwanted attention. While living in the tribe, Aurae learned about the spirit of light that follows. The elders have taught Aurae about the realm called Dal Quor and how an evil controls it. Aurae does not know much else about Dal Quor, but her spirit, Yofie (Sophie with a Y), has been trying to explain to Aurae what is happening by sharing memories when Aurae sleeps. Although, Aurae does not seem to understand what the memories mean. Aurae and her best friend Kaylin, decided they needed to do more than meditation to help their spirits. They both had the same goal, to understand their spirits more and help them bring light back to their world. The tribe wished them luck, they hugged their parents goodbye, everyone was so proud of their devotion to the Path of Light and their spirits. Weeks turned to months as the two travelled a great distance from the familiar north. Their bonds grew as they came to rely on each other in times of need. They fought a lot of small weak creatures and became quite confident with their abilities. They often goofed around a lot as young adults do. They’d show off their abilities to see who is stronger. Kaylin, who was a fighter, would flex and Aurae would cast her most powerful spell. On a regular adventuring day, Aurae and Kaylin fought a bunch of low level creatures and killed em all, but left Aurae with 0 spells slots remaining. So they did their nightly routine, set up camp under a tree in the forest. Kaylin convinced Aurae that she can have second watch. Kaylin knew how tired Aurae was and had no intention of waking her up. Aurae fell asleep quite quickly with no issues. Aurae woke up to a blood-curdling scream from Kaylin away from their camp. Aurae grabbed her bag and started running towards the sound wiping away tears. She stumbled into a clearing and saw Kaylin bleeding heavily from her chest. Two Direwolves slowly lift their heads; blood dripping from their mouths as one of them slowly walks towards Aurae growling. Kaylin tries to say something to Aurae, but only the sound of blood gurgling in her mouth comes out. Kaylin lifts her hand slowly, and points in the direction that Aurae came from, and then her hand falls limp as she exhales deeply. Aurae runs. Hot tears flow down her face blurring her vision. She runs faster and glances behind her; the Direwolf is gaining on her, blood and drool falling out of its mouth. Aurae runs for what felt like forever, her legs are exhausted, she hoped that the Direwolf would give up, but it doesn’t. Aurae’s legs give out, and she falls down a hill. She looks up from where she fell to see the Direwolf jump after her. The Direwolf opens it’s bloody mouth, ready to rip apart Aurae like it did to Kaylin. Aurae’s eyes close; and accept her fate. She thinks about her best friend, how they grew up together, went through so many hardships together, and when she needed Aurae most, Aurae left her to die. She thought how at least now they would be together. As she waits for the Direwolf to strike… ▲ Aurae and A’runda’s Shared Backstory ▲ The Direwolf never got to Aurae. A’runda showed up in time to bitch slap that boi into next week with his great axe. Ar’unda extends out a hand to help pull up Aurae, she accepts his help and then hugs him tightly as the events of what just occurred comes to realization. Aurae and A’runda made their way to where Kaylin’s body was. Not much was left of her corpse, as the second Direwolf had its fill of meat and left long ago. Aurae walked up to her corpse, took off a necklace that she always wore, and with the help of A’runda, they buried her. A’runda offered Aurae to spend some time at his tribe. Aurae emotionally shattered, accepted the offer. During this time, Aurae and A’runda spent a lot of time together, Aurae helped with the chores around the tribe. Aurae ended up staying for many weeks with A’runda, forming quite a close bond with him. A’runda helped her through her grieving, and showed her what its like to live in his tribe. Near the end of her stay, Aurae asked A’runda to accompany her because he became quite a big part of her life now; he was there for her when she needed someone. A’runda agreed and the two set out together. While on their adventures, they became besties and learned to rely on each other. Aurae drops that #BigHeal and A’runda drops that #BigAxe. They do good battle things, A’runda taught Aurae battle strategies and Aurae tries to teach him to not be so reckless. Their travels lead them to a town called Veritas. Their months they have spent together have formed a tight bond. Excited to see a new place, they both eagerly head to the tavern to have a drink and relax…
