    Today started out like any other day. Patrol the walls, eat, and train. Occasionally get into fights with the other guards for dragging my mother's name and honor through the mud. Honestly, I should be used to their words considering that I've heard them for as long as I can remember, but I just can't ignore the cruel words they spew from their hateful mouths. My mother is always so sweet and demure and I feel like I have to protect her from every self-righteous noble who thinks it's alright to degrade others that are different from them.
    
    Sigh
    
    I should stop thinking about it, I can feel myself getting angry and I can't have father see me like this. He'd have my hide if he found out that I got into a fight with my fellow guards again.
    
    Hmmm, oh! After all of my duties were done for the day, I decided to visit the market. I don't usually like being near that crowded mess but today I felt compelled to. Almost immediately, I regretted my decision as one after the other, I ran into (no, I literally ran into both of them) such peculiar characters. I was looking at one merchant's goods, strangely drawn to them. They looked like winter clothing but it was regular apparel for the moon elves that dwelled in the cold and harsh environment of the mountain peaks. After a couple of questions, I surmised that the man had mercilessly killed and taken these items from a few unsuspecting elves. This discovery caused a brief spat between us before the murderer shooed me away from his booth. I didn't make it far before I bumped into a large man that was guarding a noble lady.
    
    The young lady and her goon gave me such an eerie feeling in my gut so I tried not to linger around her for too long. She had an exotic beauty with her snowy white hair, milky complexion, and intense red eyes, and slim figure. Nothing she did in particular was strange just the aura she gave off was as if she was someone who you should avoid.
    
    Another person that I tried to avoid but failed was a man with purple hair (what is with these people and their unnatural hair colors?) and blue eyes. He had two men that were following him so I assume he is a very high-class noble. The man seemed lost and kept asking me weird questions before he and his associates took off in another direction away from me. Naturally, I thought that would be the last I saw of them but alas, I was wrong.
    
    Him and two other men (one them was a dwarf which, I've never seen one before today.) had discovered a strange disappearances of elves around the kingdom. As a guard, I felt it was my responsibility to help with the investigations. I split us up into 3 teams to search around the areas that are inhabited by the city elves. Our results revealed nothing besides the fact that this was bigger than only a couple of elves missing. Over half the population was gone and some of them that had turned up were only corpses dumped in port's waters. I'll have to talk to the Captain about that tomorrow. I still don't know why this hasn't already been reported. I know that humans have their prejudices against elves but pretty much a majority of the servants are elves. If all of them go missing, the nobles should be having a fit about the lack of help.
    
    The men and I made plans to meet up after my patrols to try and dig around some more, hopefully we can find a clue that can lead us in the right direction.
