Background

Cyra (Persian: کیرا) is the youngest daughter of Shah Amir IV of Aduryakh, one of the wealthiest and most powerful kingdoms that emerged from the ashes of the once-great Persian Empire. She was born to Darya, the Shah’s favorite concubine. As a princess of the Persian court, Cyra was raised in luxury, surrounded by art, poetry, and the finest silks. Though she was well-versed in courtly etiquette, she also inherited her mother's fiery spirit and stubborn will, making her a challenging presence among the more submissive women of the harem.

As the empire fractured into independent kingdoms, Aduryakh stood as a beacon of wealth and culture, flourishing through its vast trade routes, fertile lands, and formidable military. But despite its riches, the kingdom was entangled in fragile alliances and growing tensions with the western kingdoms. To secure peace, at seventeen, Cyra was promised in marriage to a king of the Western lands, a strategic union meant to strengthen ties and deter conflict. However, on the way to Western lands, her caravan was ambushed by mercenaries. The attackers slaughtered many, plundered the riches, and took the survivors as capitives. Cyra, just like the rest of the women was bound for the slave market, condemned to a fate of servitude. However, when the mercenaries discovered her true identity, they saw a far greater prize than gold. Instead of selling her, they delivered the Persian princess as a gift to their king, a man who saw her not as a captive, but as a trophy. Enchanted by her striking beauty and unbroken spirit, he decided to claim her as his concubine. Little did he know taming her would be harder than it seemed at first glance.

Cyra had grown up on stories of love and heroism, of fated bonds and strong devotion. Her pride may not let her say it aloud but a part of her still longs for such things. If someone proves their worth, not by breaking her, but by standing beside her, she would love them with the same fire that burns in her soul.
