• Biography

  Lucius was an up and coming agent for the Universal Bureau of Investigation. He had the highest rookie arrest record by far, and managed to play a part in taking down key members of the Redmoon Cartel. The more he achieved the cockier he got, until he turned his sights on a really dangerous organization known as Ravenwing. They were into all kinds of nasty things, from people trafficking to gun running to money laundering. They were not afraid of the law, and had no rival.
  
  Lucius being cocky, ignored the warnings by his superiors, and even the warnings Ravenwing afforded him. There was certainly pride in play that drove him to target them, but he wanted to prove that he was not afraid of them. What he did not take into account however, was that Ravenwing were not interested in playing fairly.
  One night, he and his family were abducted from their beds at night. Driven and escorted into an old building with sacks over their head, Lucius found himself with his parents, brothers, wife and his daughter, his partner and his partner's family. They were all restrained with rope and the building was set ablaze. Lucius watched helpless as he struggled against his bonds, watching as his parents burned alive. The smell of burning flesh was stapled to his memory, a smell he will never forget.
  
  He managed to get free of his bonds, lifted his daughter to his shoulder and dragged his wife out of the building. He turned to re-enter it again, only for the building to collapse upon his brothers, his partner, and his partner's family. The smoke eventually got the better of him and he collapsed to the floor. Waking in the hospital, the bad news continued as he received the news that his wife Georgina passed away from smoke inhalation and his daughter Amy was in serious condition. Lucius stayed by Amy's bedside for forty three hours before she too died.
  
  Lucius returned to work as soon as he was able to, and things changed. He became aggressive, unpredictable and on the edge. He was pulled up several times on excessive force complaints and written up for his interrogation techniques. They tried to offer him a final chance, one that came with the requirement of taking a leave of absence to grieve. He didn't want to, and so they fired him.
  
  However, one of the capital space stations in the Gilgamesh Quadrant was willing to hire him as a detective, under the condition that he agreed to counseling and that his therapist would clear him for work.
  He accepted those conditions, but the therapy didn't help him. Instead, he turned to alcohol and a drug named Silver Haze, becoming addicted to both of them, but only when he finds himself with free time. While at work his focus keeps him from turning to either vice, but if he has nothing to work on, he quickly tailspins.
  
  He works and lives now on the New Hollywood Space Station, the spiritual evolution of Los Angeles, filled with the highest form of glitz and glamour on the upper levels in the Platinum Sector, and the destitute and desperate in the Foundation sector on the lower levels. Lucius' law enforcement station unsurprisingly is in the Foundation Sector. He's still a good detective, tenacious and unrelenting in getting people justice, but thanks to where he is, no one looks too closely at his methods for getting things done. He has been offered multiple times, promotion if he can clean up his act and at least follow procedure even if he can't kick his vices, but he's been unable or unwilling to try so far.
  
  Now, he's found he's going to head up a pilot program where he will be partnered with an android, one that could supposedly feel or at least simulate feeling emotions.
