Name: Kraxcen Alias: Kraxe or Kraxce Nicknames: None Sex: Male Species: Primordial God Sub-species: Leviathan Maris (Deep Sea Leviathan) Characteristics of Leviathans: Notoriously aggressive, territorial, intelligent, large in comparison to others of their species, and extremely violent when provoked. Age: He gives the impression that he is a refined beast of his mid-thirties who has been matured and sophisticated by age, rather than tarnished by it. It's suffice to say that he is at the height of virility for an adult male of his species. Even so, the natural lifespan of a primordial leviathan is more extensive than those of their more mortal counterparts and there is no true way to discern how old he is. Due to the nomadic and isolated lifestyles of leviathans, not much is known about their aging process or the range of an average lifespan in general. Quote:
Height: 7'85" Weight: 620 LBS Body Type and Anatomical Break Down: Kraxe's body is wrought in toned musculature, as is appropriate of a specimen of such a predacious nature. His looming frame sports a depth of physical capability that suggests he possesses a body that is at its apex of anatomical prime. Dense fields of competent muscle lay across his skeletal edifice in thick layered slabs, which are easily visible beneath the dusky canvas of his flesh. Throughout the summer months, there is very little fat to be found on his countenance. In contrast, when the waning heat of summer arises and the days begin to grow long, he gains a light layer of padding to help him in breaks of active hunting during the winter months. His bones are dense and not prone to frequent breaking (or healing from such an injury) easily. Much akin to sharks, there are a good many parts of him that are more cartilaginous, or calcified cartilage as it may be, rather than that of a strict skeletal structure found in most humans and mammals. Without many hard bones to produce them, red blood cells are created in the kidneys and a special organ called an epigonal. White blood cells are created in the spleen and the spiral valve within his intestines. Most of his internal organs, circulatory system, and inner workings are more in tune with sharks and rays rather than what his seemingly humanesque appearance might allude to. As an interesting bit of trivial information, if a deep sea leviathan eats something terribly upsetting, members of their species can force their stomach out through their mouth and into the water in order to empty it. Hair Color: Pitch Hair Style: Atop his crown is a bramble of rowdy waves that are a rich dark coal with an undercurrent of the deepest glossy obsidian. His mop of hair is usually kept brushed back from his face, shaved short on the sides, possibly even tethered into a high bun by leather cord, or left to wildy fall about the chiseled set of his masculine visage. Skin Color: There are warm undercurrents to be found in the hue of his dusky skin. The sumptuous depth of his dark complexion hints at his heritage; for he is a beast born of the deep abyssal trenches of the ocean floor. Fittingly, his complexion resembles as much with its swath of warm ink. Markings and Colors: There is a pale 'trident' marking just above his groin that spans out across the majority of his abdomen. Most of his joints are peppered with scales that are the color of freshly oxygenated blood. Eyes: His are eyes of the purest gild, usually tucked beneath the drape of half-closed lids. They seem to be cast with their own radiant light, while however slight, is enough to vaguely illuminate the sharp angle of his cheekbones when within locales that are hosts to dim lighting. Voice: Kraxe's voice is deep, possessing, and charismatic. A mix between Damon Albarn and Matthew Mcfadyen. Accent: His accent is slight and barely noticeable unless he is tired or under emotional duress. Piercings: Septum and gauged ears (00’s). He often wears ornamentation of cast gold in his piercings. Tattoos: None Scars: Miscellaneous scars mottle much of his body, but they are faint and likely remnants from hunting injuries or those obtained in previously fought battle. Health: 100% Current Afflictions: None Physical Limitations: If anything, he is an efficient beast. With such dense and thickly wrought musculature, Kraxe isn't quick to expend the energy it takes during a full out brawl. Even though he is slow and steady in his general movements, his endurance has been refined enough to see him through most bursts of direct confrontation, hunting, or even through a tedious day's worth of even-paced manual labor. Afterward, he typically requires extensive feeding in order to replenish his energy stores. Generally speaking, Kraxe carries himself with an innate physical prowess that is only hampered by the seeming lethargy that stains each of his purposed moments. Don't be mistaken, there is a definite leonine grace about him, even if he would appear to laze about when not in active motion. Pleasing Attributes: A virile beauty is innate within the beast; he is little more than a creature of otherworldly charm and inebriating charisma. Kraxe is a devil that carries himself with a taciturn manner of severity and command. The effortless control of even the minutest details of his appearance is exuded in the very swagger of his gait. He naturally lords over everything that falls beneath his golden gaze, unapologetically and with the confidence of a man that knows the power of his own truth. Less Than Pleasing Attributes: A thatch of scars addles the dark swath of his sun-kissed flesh. Some would find the tangible evidence of the world’s viciousness unappetizing, but Kraxe seems unfazed by them. If anything, he appears oblivious to their existence until they are commented upon. Height: 19.5 Ft Length: 23.9 Ft from snout tip to hindquarters Tail Length: 10.2 Ft from hindquarters to tail tip Weight: 1900 LBS Jaws: Kraxe has a second set of jaws in his throat called pharyngeal jaws, which also possess teeth. When feeding, Kraxe will launch these jaws into his mouth, where they grasp prey and transport it into the throat and digestive system. Both sets of his jaws, as a pair, are strong enough to apply a copious amount of force into his bite; so much so that he can easily snap bones, crush skulls, and otherwise cripple prey with a single bite. Shape of Teeth: Akin to a shark’s teeth, he has triangular upper teeth with serrated edges for cutting the meat and flesh of large prey animals. Arrangement of Teeth: Again, like a shark’s, Kraxe’s teeth can be counted by the rows (the outer most tooth, counted horizontally across the jaw) and series (the teeth lined behind of the first row, counted on parallel axis). Like a chainsaw, the teeth are pushed forwards and eventually fall out only to be replaced by new one. He has one hundred and fifty teeth in his jaws at any given time, and seven series behind of the initial row of teeth. Dietary information: Primordial leviathans are apex predators and rarely have to fear being attacked by other marine animals. Their diets consist of rich game animals such as fur seals, selkies, sea lions, cetaceans (whales, dolphins, and porpoises), sharks, squids, octopus, and large bony fish species. They are notoriously known to prey on furre and human trade vessels, often sinking them and eating any creature unfortunate enough to be thrown into the water. Bite Force: Greater than that of a great white, Leviathans can exert a bite force of over 5,500 lbf. Thermoregulation: Cold-blooded Electroreception: The Ampullae of Lorenzini are the electroreceptor organs that are located along the snout of most predatory aquamarine creatures. They number in the hundreds to thousands in leviathans. Predatory creatures, such as leviathans, use the receptors to detect the electromagnetic fields that all living things innately produce. This helps Kraxe find prey; he is able to locate other creates even when they might be well hidden in the sand, by detecting the electric pulses they produce. Ocean currents moving in the magnetic field of Guildereim also generate electric fields that Kraxe can use for orientation and possibly navigation. Venom: Envenomation is only caused by the transmission of venom through a bite. Kraxe can bite prey without enveomating them, but he has been known to envenomate and then hunt and injured animal when he is feeling particularly lazy. There is usually little or no swelling after a victim has been bitten. It is rare for the lymphatic system to be affected. The most important symptoms of Kraxe’s bite are rhabdomyolysis (rapid breakdown of skeletal muscle tissue) and paralysis. Early symptoms can include headache, hallucinations, a thick-feeling tongue, thirst, sweating, and vomiting. Symptoms that could occur after thirty minutes to several hours post-bite include generalized aching, stiffness, and tenderness of muscles all over the body. Passive stretching of the muscles is also painful, and trismus, which is similar to tetanus, is common. This is followed later on by symptoms typical of other elapid envenomations: a progressive flaccid paralysis, starting with ptosis and paralysis of voluntary muscles. Paralysis of muscles involved in swallowing and respiration can be fatal. After three to eight hours, myoglobin as a result of muscle breakdown may start to show up in the blood plasma, which can cause the urine to turn a dark reddish, brown, or black color, and eventually lead to acute renal failure. After six to twelve hours, severe hyperkalemia, also the result of muscle breakdown, can lead to cardiac arrest. Spines: Positioned along his flanks, spine, and tail, these spines can be erected and use as a defense or offense against predators. They are stiff and rigid to the touch and can easily penetrate most skins. They can also be used to help lodge himself in reefs and underwater structures. |
