Being a Dom has a great deal of responsibility upon his shoulders. He has chosen to care for another human being and control many, if not all, aspects of a submissives life. Most importantly, he must be extremely careful with the sub's emotional state of being as submissives give up so much of themselves.

I. Introduction
A novice who has yet to experience much play with discipline, toys, language, role-playing, humiliation and so on needs to be gradually introduced to a taste of each. This will let them gauge her appetite for more, and to deal with whatever concerns or issues they may need to address internally or with their Dominant before proceeding.

II. Scenes & Negotiations
A scene is a particular interaction between a group or pair usually revolving around a bottom. If there is something you’d like to try first negotiating it with your partner; discuss what you want out of the scene, what your limits are and what safe word you want to use. And after the scene is over, take time to discuss what the scene felt like for each of you. Make sure to listen to your partner and learn how they felt, and thank your partner for playing. This "negotiation" concept in the SM community simply means open, honest communication about what you do and don't want. Negotiation in this sense is not a bargaining process, where one person is trying to get something at the expense of someone else; it's a win-win technique where you're both talking about what you've done and what excites and doesn't excite you, so you can feel more comfortable and turned on together.

All slaves are to be given a physical and mental examination by Christoph before training beginnings. No exceptions. If the slave belongs to the Tether he will take his payment from the guards and take the slave into his care for at least a day to see just where they stand. If the slaves are owned he will expect payment from their owner before his assessment can begin. Sir stood center stage, the room was dimly lit, and large golden pits of fire were ablaze around the room giving some light to the room and its occupants. The main focus was on Sir who stood tall and calm, hands clasps behind his back. He was dressed in his usual black leather pants, cane in his right hand, and loose crushed velvet vest, the gold of the chain attached to his nipple rings clearly visible in the open gap of the material against his expansive chest.

Steel cut topaz glowered out at the audience around him; it was a good size crowd, not too big, not too small. Just enough for what he had in mind tonight. Suddenly Sir raised his hand and snapped his fingers, off to the side, beyond the stage a fire was lit brightening that corner of the room and with it, the woman standing before it, the fire behind her casting shadows on her features.
She was human, looked to be in her early twenties at most and she was completely nude. Her figure was lush, heavy curves of a well bread female, just the way he liked them. His topaz eyes danced around her body like a soft caress, one she felt and shivered under.

“Come.” His voice seemed to echo off the wall, no other sounds in the room as the audience was held captive by the young woman and her Dom.

Bare feet slapped along the wood as she moved up the short stairs leading to the main stage her hips swaying softly as her unbound breasts bounced with every stride she took. She paused at his side and immediately fell to her knees, head dipped low, eyes cast to the ground.

Sir motioned above her head for a guard who was present to bring the item he requested forward. It was a Saint Andrews Cross, made by his own hands with freestanding saltires framing the cross. It was wheeled in by guards and placed upon the stage right behind him, the woman at his feet shivering slightly but made no other movements.

“Ladies and gentlemen, Golden Tether staff, I thank you for coming here tonight to be a part of my first show here. It’s sort of an introduction to myself as well as my professional interest here.” He addresses the audience at last, his voice low but still carried though out the room. It was then that he moved to the side and gestured to the apparatus behind him.

“And this is my lovely new submissive, she’s is new to my hand but I do see promise in her so as a reward I’m giving her a chance to shine.” His lips pulled up in slight smile.

His hands came together, “Let’s move along to the main event shall we?” He turned to his submissive and touched her lightly on her shoulder, a gesture meant for her to rise which she did flawlessly. Her eyes still downward she waited until Sir spoke again to look him in the eye.

“What is your safe word?” He asked eyes locked on her own.

“Red.” She replayed simply.

“You know to use this word if at anytime you feel you want to stop correct?”

“Yes, Sir.”

“Good, now step up to the cross, dear.” He reached out an open palm to which she placed one of her hands in and was escorted up to the cross where she rested against the wood finished wood.

“Hands up, legs shoulder width across.” He ordered.

Her limbs went up and out and he quickly walked around her fastening her wrist and ankles into the smooth leather cuffs.

“Not too tight or too loose, I don’t want her to loose circulation.” He spoke to the audience, flashing them a smile as he explained as well as gave them pointers.

His submissive’s eyes were on him the whole time, the audience falling into the background as it should be. She wasn’t in pain or hurting, in fact her slight squirm and quicken breath suggested she not only wanted to be there but was excited by the idea.

Once she was secure Sir moved to the side where he had a wooden pa paddle leaning against the stage, waiting for him. He picked it up and spun it around by the handle before turning to the audience could see it. Along the smooth wood the name Mister Nikolai was carved out in perfect script. He turned it so the lettering was seen on both sides.

“Tonight I’ll be using this, it’s a simple paddle, made of wood, crafted by me, and wide enough that it wouldn’t cause too much pain. Remember this is only an introduction."

With a grin he moved toward his submissive and showed her the paddle as well, her eyes widened for a fraction of second in fear before excitement pooled over, her small pink tongue slipping past her lips to wet them.

That was all Sir needed.

With a whooshing sound the wooden paddle smacked up against the woman’s bare thighs. The sound of the woman’s shriek drowned out the smack soon after it sounded. Sir paused. And his submissive moaned, her voice sultry, obviously more excited than hurt despite the red mark streaking her smooth skin, the faint impression of his name on her skin.
