Jivartai

  • Here you can get an in depth look of the world Kajou and all my characters live on!

  • Dageata while very close in size to Izumi, is not as populated thus it is considered more of a Megacity rather than Megalopolis. This particular place serves as the main gathering point or, 'the hub' as its also called, for the whole world. Therefore trade is heavily common here and that is the general reason anyone is there for any particular amount of time. Well, that and travelling, as the abundance of gateways leading to other worlds and dimensions is not only great for off world trading but is extremely great for just travelling and exploring places you'd never dream of reaching any other way. The buildings here seem ancient, made out of an unknown material that for whatever reason seems immune to all types of damage. There were also heavy restrictions too, otherworldly restrictions. Such as, an individual trying to fight here or harm any person will find themselves immediately transported into another world at random. For that reason, the golden rule here is to not fight. This is the only place where this can occur though, as that will not happen in the regions below.

    In order to move into another region, there are three giant archways near the center around where people enter from. Each are labeled for the region they take you to, one for Aurowyn and Ceridwen and one more for Zentoya. This way there was free quick travel to each region so long as you were going on foot. There are sometimes anomalies though that will cause someone to end up in a random location within the region instead of the gateway they'd exit out of on the other side. Additionally, it is possible to enter this world by accident via rifts that appear sometimes at random. Thankfully, they do not appear inside walls or underground. However.. they can appear in the air.

    Rifts and Gateways
    A Rift, is a dimensional portal of sorts that is invisible to the naked eye, the only tell of one being nearby is either by a strong sixth sense allowing one to sense it, or someone with very keen eyes noting a distortion in the air around the rift itself which can only really be seen when in good lighting conditions as in the darkness that is impossible to see. There are no other known methods of locating rifts, so only few are actually able to purposefully discover them. Each rift leads to another world and due to the endless amount of rifts ,some of which disappear at times whilst others can only be located at certain times of the day, almost all worlds are connected to this world through them. It is because of how rare they are to find in the other worlds that this world is not flooded with people coming through them. Upon entering a rift from this world, the exit rift on the other side is always problematic, the location of the exit rift upon entering the new world will always change locations, meaning it can be anywhere in the new world and thus can be nearly impossible to find which is why rifts can be quite dangerous. It is possible for the rift in the other worlds to be entered by someone, and thus bring that person to this world but it is rare for the rifts in this world to move. Well.. quickly at least, they do move but at an increasing slow rate. A rift located in a backyard of a house could easily be in a forest on the other side of the world in a few centuries or so.

    Now about Gateways, a gateway is a rift that has been built upon using stone, metal or any strong and sturdy building material with a gate or a door installed where the rift itself is located. Once the gateway is finished the rift is locked to that door/gate and thus the only way to actually use it, is to open the door and step through. Traveling through these locked and secure rifts is safe, as the exit locations are now set in place as well and thus will never move unless the gateway is demolished, freeing the rift attached to it. Most attach a sign or write on the frame of the gateway itself to show travelers where it will lead them. In certain cities where gateways are a common way of travel and trade, maps have been made showing where you will exit in the new world and what towns or villages are best to go to when travelling. This mostly just means the gateways within trading hubs or well known cities are generally safest and have the most 'traffic' coming through them.
  • A land of green, bountiful forests, valleys and mountainous areas with villages and towns that occupy them. A lot of nature untouched due to the strong magic making heavy tech unnecessary and thus there is little to no pollution. Villages towns and even small cities are usually far apart and thus it can take days to travel from one to the other unless you're fast enough to make the distance in short periods. This section is the largest out of all of them, and as expected has more fantasy elements to it such as magic being far more prominent and used rather than technology which is used more in the other sections. Due to this, towns and cities while large, are not huge and do not impact the nature around them in a negative way as there is no need to take away too much of what there is, granting this section an abundant amount of resources. They still do have tech in some areas, but mostly only stuff for personal use such as computers for play or utility.
    Continents and Islands
    There are two continents in the Aurowyn region, Khishwyn to the NW and Damiwyn located at the NE. There are a couple islands on the eastern side of Damiwyn that have yet to be occupied.

    Cities and towns
    There are two cities and two towns and are as follows.
    Mosuni: The southern town of Keturimura located at the coast which is quite the busy trade hub as many trade ships came and went importing and exporting product of all kinds, though the main income came from exotic goods crafted by the very people of the town itself. The buildings were built in such a way that the far larger industrial compounds were near the coastal side, specifically near all the docks. The medium sized buildings were for the most part in the middle and were generally where all the shops are located. Surrounding all of that were various housings which were more spaced out from each other the closer one was to the outskirts.The buildings themselves looked rather normal apart from an odd design or two along with a couple windows or so having what looked to be some wooden artifact sitting within it. Granted what set this place apart most was the population, such as having multiple eyes or horns or even a mouth full of sharp teeth. Some of them were strong, some of them were weak, it all depended on what they naturally had. In this city it didn't really matter as they were treated as people, they could work and live without issue. They all called each other 'Monster-kin' as that is what they were, taking the word monster which was once a derogatory term and made it into something more welcoming.

    Grynudo: A town specifically known for its vast farmland, the ground extremely fertile and thus every year a large amount of crops are grown and harvested here which is why the town itself is relatively wealthy. The layout of the town showed a clear preference for the wealthy and powerful and a disinterest for those with lesser influence. The center is where the powerful lived, their homes mansion like, vast and large just to show off how much power they had there. The buildings that surrounded it, called 'the inner ring' were where the majority of shops were located. Some sold armor, others sold weapons and others sold various items of clothing or food. The money of which all still went straight into the pocket of the rich due to over taxation of the populace. The outer ring had homes that were smaller, patchwork or just in plain disrepair, basically resembling a slums. Around the town itself were various farmlands which is where the real money came in hence why the houses on the farmland were more than well off. They just so happened to be 'family' to those within the center of the town itself. At least this meant the outer areas were guarded well, right? Well, not really. Guards were really only stationed around the farmland, certain shops and sections of the inner ring and the majority resided in the center via a large guard house next to the main households.

    Akmenishi: A powerful city, thriving with life and opportunity, if you could get in at least. The mountains that surround it served as an impenetrable wall and the only way in had large heavy gates meant to keep outsiders at bay. Trade can come in sure, as it is where their money comes from. Exporting and importing goods using a shipping area privately owned within the town of Mosuni. They of course had to pay a fee to keep using it but the money was well worth that cost. The buildings in Akmenishi is for the most part made out of stone, magic used to help shape or carve it into the desired and required features for the houses themselves. They were of course bigger near the center and smaller near the outer edges save for the large guard towers that were high enough to look over the entire city. Mainly wealthy or powerful individuals lived here, however apart from a small bit of corruption it was actually a decent place to live if one could afford it. There were laws in place, as to keep thievery and murder at a minimum. Dueling there was common though, since if two people were conflicting over something they could fight it out. Generally not to the point of death, although such cases have certainly happened. Only works of both parties consent to it though and there are guards present to witness.

    Zaidor: A city that function more so as a tourist point as well as another coastal trade hub. Whilst large, the buildings themselves remained rather small, usually only one story or so high as height wasn't really needed here. At least not yet, as the city improves then those changes could likely occur. Most buildings here were made out of cobblestone or reinforced wood if not a mixture of the two, and what made this place so popular was the abundance of fish on this side of the world. Seriously, a majority of fish are caught here, various sizes too. However there were some laws in place to prevent over fishing as doing that could not only ruin the economy of this city but it could seriously cause environmental problems. There was a balance for a reason, and while some fishing companies tried to get past this law due to greed, each time they were shown their place. There was one other problem with this city, and that was the large amount of raids. There were quite a few villages on the continent of Khishwyn and with Zaidor being a good target they were generally raided often. Some raids were successful, but not all of them and certainly not enough to cause people to want to leave for good.
  • A modernized area that functions a lot like the real world we know today at least in terms of buildings and not so much the landmass. It is also in the middle when it comes to general population. Cities are still far apart, though with the introduction of vehicles, travelling from one city to the other isn't hard. There is country land as well, though not as much as Aurowyn as they lack the magic to sustain such natural beauty and thus must take from it in order survive and thrive. However with the help from both other sections, pollution is at a minimum to non-existent.
    Continents and Islands
    There are technically two continents, and a small set of islands to the south. Serid is to the SW, the other unnamed mass of land is to the NE of Serid.
    Cities and towns
    There are three cities and one town in the region of Ceridwen, listed as follows.

    Aysho: A coastal city mostly known as being a heavy tourist zone. The buildings here were for the most part made out of stone-veneer or fiber-cement which certainly added to the value to the homes themselves, the majority of buildings here were either restaurants or general stores with a few gift shops here and there. However, there was very little variety, and there were far more restrictions and laws here. Unlike the entirety of Aurowyn, there were governments at play here, which did keep the peace but certainly made living for one's self a lot harder to do. Yeah there were opportunities, and there were certainly ways to make a living for yourself, but it lacked the complete freedom normally found in Aurowyn. These laws though as well as the modernized way everything functioned at the very least made it a nice vacation spot.

    Leiwun: A city on the smaller side, located at the center of Serid. The buildings here were taller in the middle, not exactly skyscrapers but high enough to make quite the lovely view. Additionally, most buildings were either made out of brick or stucco. Interestingly enough, what made this city popular was its schooling, there were plenty of schools ranging from elementary to colleges which added diversity at least in terms of schooling. It was all generally affordable too, which allowed most people the chance in the pursuit of education. Due to the amount of land around the city, it is also well known for its power generation which mostly consisted of wind turbines and other renewable methods such as solar or geothermal.

    Desidri: Much like Aysho, this too was a coastal city although the difference between the two was the amount of corruption. There were plenty of tall buildings here, and the majority of businesses were owned by a few individuals who worked together to keep power in their hands. The police forces here couldn't really be counted on for much, as bribery was common, sure the actions committed within the city were illegal but there was very little to really be done about it. At least for the time being. Perhaps an internal war would set things straight? Until a solution is found to fix the corruption problem, this city will remain a dangerous place to live. Its danger is also what makes it the most affordable, as houses there sell cheap and easy as its the only way to really sell them. Those who live there either are strong enough to handle themselves or are simply trapped there unable to really move anywhere else and thus fight on the daily to keep surviving.

    Ceridwen mines: As the name suggest, this is a mining town. Small and not extremely populated but incredibly important as the metals gathered from here played a key role in the manufacturing of goods. Certain metals sold for a grand price too just by themselves. With how hard the work is though and the addition of the dangers that come with the job, not many are willing to work. Those that do though? Are paid handsomely for their efforts. Due to this being a small town, most people know each other by name, thus they do have a tendency to consider themselves better than most and influence can be easily spread if one person is convinced of something. Outsiders aren't looked to kindly upon but once are warmed up to, are treated almost like family.
  • This Is where all the heavy tech resides, there is very little nature here due to the resources having been pretty much used up but, they've grown past the need for them and thus aren't negatively effected. It is the second largest of the regions, yet is the highest in terms of population size. Pollution here whilst high, cannot effect any other region in the world due to it being 'trapped' within that specific section. However, the advanced tech allows them to even use said pollution as a power source so clean air and water is still available for all. There is also minimum magic, the only reason there is an 'ounce' of magic in Zentoya is because the personal magic of an individual isn't restricted. With all the tech though, magic is rarely if ever used.
    Continents and Islands
    Unlike Aurowyn and Ceridwen there is only one Continent in the region of Zentoya named Izumi. There are two main islands one of which is an archipelago
    Cities and towns
    There is one Megalopolis and two fairly large cities in the region of Zentoya, listed as follows.

    Izumi: The one and only Megalopolis in the entire world, the continent itself one large city hence the term megalopolis. Buildings here are massive and extremely high tech, made with metal walls with holographic displays built in which can either show advertisements or if coating the whole exterior the metal itself could look like any other material out there minus the feel. Roads were generally large and sported eight or even twelve lanes depending on what section of the megalopolis you were in. In total there were five sections in the city. The industrial section is located in the NW side of the continent, taking a small portion of the entrance where there were docks meant for imports and exports to come in by ship. Within the NW part of the section there were many warehouses and manufacturing plants all of which took imported materials such as metals and wood and whatever else and used them to manufacture stuff for the city. The center of Izumi is known as the business section as that is where the highest towers reside. There were businesses that covered a variety of enterprises ranging from medical research and the advancement of new tech. Its common for the extremely wealthy to live there too, usually in penthouses on top of the businesses they owned. To the NE is what is known as the 'Playground' section, reason being that it is where the majority of entertainment is located. Entertainment such as large arenas where individuals fought with abilities or their augments, or large buildings where shows were created and aired. There were even dive bars and not in the way you're thinking, as the term here comes from the fact that in every seating area there is the option to fully dive into a virtual world. A lot of people spend there time in these places, since owning a full dive system was expensive and at least it was somewhat affordable there. The last two sections were on the southern side of Izumi, specifically the SW and SE respectively and those two sections were mostly just housing. There were places to eat and shop at sure, but for the most part its where people lived as its where the most affordable places are.

    Additionally, there are three major companies located in Izumi which will be described in the tab below.
    Corporations and Companies

    Aeiroku Gystrija Incorporated
    Motto: A.G.I. Reaching the unapproachable

    Information: Aeiroku Gystrija Incorporated, A.G.I. for short is a widely known company leading the industry concerning spacecraft and exploration. They're based in Zentoya on the world Jivartai but have many locations throughout the galaxies and other dimensions. Their motto, "Reaching the unapproachable" is fairly accurate, as they have done what most would consider to be impossible. Examples being having created ships that can not only withstand a blackhole, but travel through it without any damages externally or internally, the staff within included. A.G.I. is heavily funded and is practically limitless with the amount of money is receives due to their work in supplying both commercial ships as well as ships for the military. Although they are not the only company to produce spacecraft, they were the first and are by far the most trusted brand. However, they're considered to be a 'jack of all trades' type of company as their focus is in multiple areas rather than a single point.

    Karitai Avia Corp
    Motto: K.A.C. Your safety, is our priority

    Information: Karitai Avia Corp, K.A.C. for short is a militarized corporation that has a focus on creating technology for use in the military. Whether that be vehicles, weapons, power supply and communications, anything to help aid the military in the goal of keeping the people safe from outside threats. They work in tandem, A.G.I. producing schematics and blueprints for their use whilst K.A.C. improves upon the designs to make them more fit for military purposes. It is common to see K.A.C. security personnel and equipment near docking bays especially in high risk zones. Although hard to do it is possible to purchase weapons and ships from them, certain specifications must be met before transactions can be made. No criminal history outside or inside Jivartai, must be a denizen of the world for at least five years. Training and discipline courses for both weapons and ships must be taken and a large fee must be paid in advanced. Due to how hard it is to buy from them, it is far more common to hire them instead, as there are sections of K.A.C. available for purchase and use so long as it does not hinder Jivartai in anyway.

    Sveken Vaist Corp
    Motto: S.V.C. Better health for a better future.

    Information: Sveken Vaist Corp, S.V.C. for short is the combination of many medical research facilities that work together as one for the betterment of the world. Their cutting edge tech along with staff with vast amount of experience in both fields of science and medicine leads them to create new and improved methods to heal and or treat wounds. They were the first to design a functional augmented limb, an arm to be specific, that once attached grants the wearer the full functionality of that missing limb. They can feel, and overall do more with the augment than they could with the original. They've made major strides since then, full body augments became readily available for those who desired them though it has sparked controversy in its time. Many riots had taken place coming from those who found augments to be disgusting and just unnatural. However, due to how diverse Jivartai is, that way of thinking has since long been forgotten as the many types of people and creatures in various other worlds made the idea far more accepting. All augments can be interchanged for better models so long as the money is there for the transaction. Workers can opt for something that'd aid them in their field whilst Police and Military forces are offered other upgrades to aid in criminal defense and outside invasions.
