  Alberto Barbosa appears as a normal Moorish man in his late 30s, with an air of superiority in his body language and expressions. Despite the apparent bulk of his spacesuit, he is quite lean.

  Alberto Barbosa is an engineer of great acumen, perhaps even the greatest in the world (Or so he thinks.) While greatly proficient in the construction of weapons, starships, and cybernetics, he has yet to master the science of teleportation. When faced with new technologies, he will do all in his power to understand the mechanisms of their function so that he may duplicate it for his own use.
  
  In addition to being an inventor of weapons, he is also a skilled marksman. While he does build and wield superweapons of many different shapes and sizes, he has a fondness for the old-fashioned ways and will fall back on military surplus such as the FN FAL.
  
  While lacking any appreciable knowledge or skill in magic, he has no qualms against incorporating it into his inventions.
  
  Personality
  Alberto sports a bold, noble, and sometimes arrogant demeanor fitting of a king, but beneath this facade is a greedy, selfish crook with a very fragile ego. He does not take kindly to insults and if he feels insulted, will respond in kind, often with an egregious display of vulgarity.(Lately though, he has promised his nephew that he would cut back on swearing.) From time to time, he is also known display a sort of opportunistic malevolence. When the chances arise, he may set off chains of events which end with disastrous consequences.
  
  Strangely, he has displayed a fear of what he calls "creatures". In this context, the term refers to humanoids possessing the qualities of animals such as facial features, tails, fur, scales, feathers, et cetera. His fear of these beings, and the manner in which humans may become them, compels him to seek means to exterminate these aberrations of nature.
  
  When dealing with his enemies, Alberto prides himself on efficiency and results. He does not toy with those who stand in his way but seeks to eliminate them as quickly and efficiently as possible. It is for this reason that he prefers guns to any other weapon.
