• Personality

  The Man
  On the surface, Kota seems like an easy-going, responsible individual- exactly the sort of person parents would entrust their children to for two weeks out of the summer. He's enthusiastic, engaging and ever the proponent of fairness and bettering oneself.
  
  Lately, though, that's been harder to do.
  
  It's easy enough to play up the "model of a perfect camp counselor" while campers and parents are around, but beneath this layer of his former self that he wears around to fool those he cares about, he's begun to question everything he's ever known about the world and fights daily to keep his head above water and perform his duties. He suffers from anxiety and mood swings and has begun to doubt himself at almost every turn. Since he was bitten almost a year ago, he's become fearful of that side of himself he can neither control nor remember after it falls dormant again.
  
  Despite this, somehow he has managed to get by with the help of a friend or two and some very careful planning. Though it takes more effort to maintain his gentle, empathetic ways, he won't give up his humanity that easily.
  
  The Wolf
  Kota has no set werewolf form. His fluctuating mood and metal state play a significant role in what sort of beast he becomes during the full moon. Typically, the over-arching mood of the weeks prior to the full moon will dictate what his wolf looks like and what it can generally be predicted to do during its Run.
  
  However, it is not only the full moon which can trigger the wolf. Strong negative emotions such as anguish or terror can bring out a sort of half-form for a short time, while strong positive emotions such as an intense feeling of belonging, excitement, etc. can cause a number of noticeably animalistic behavior, such as howling or barking, drooling, etc.
  
  So far, the known forms of Kota's wolf include the following:
  
  Average: When Kota is feeling his most "normal", his wolf reflects this. It is appropriately proportioned, with long, muscular limbs, keen senses and a mane of fur at its neck. It is the most wolf-like of the bunch, preferring to explore and hunt small game than seek out trouble. It will attack if provoked, but is not naturally aggressive.
  
  Fear/Anxiety: Similar to the average, with a few small differences. Larger eyes, larger ears, shorter fur overall and paws more closely resembling hands. Skittish but far more likely to lash out if it feels cornered. It's more likely to rummage through the trash and forage for berries and insects than do any significant hunting.
  
  Rage: Larger build, wider head with smaller eyes, ears and bigger teeth with bear-like paws. It's very aggressive and behaves more like an 80's movie monster. It likes big game and will indiscriminately plow through residential and rural areas alike.
  
  Drunk/High: The only spur-of-the-moment wolf form. Kota is not one for using of abusing substances, but he can change what sort of wolf he gets by drinking or getting high within a couple of hours of turning. The downside is an embarrassment of a creature- one who lives for the moment and cares very little for its surroundings. Its proportions are loose and mismatched and, lacking any sense of self-preservation, will wander headlong into residential areas to dig through garbage, get hung in fences and instill more of a sense of confusion and concern than fear in the locals. It could be considered a better route than his Rage form, but even that's debatable.
  
  Depressed/Hopeless: It is a creature that could never be born into this world by regular means. It is almost completely hairless aside from a few stringy hairs, has long, humanoid fingers with splitting claws and has muffled senses at best. It has no natural defense, even producing a strong odor and loud, raspy breathing to draw in predators or curious individuals, and takes interest in very little other than finding a comfortable spot to sit down until dawn.

• Background

  Kota was practically raised in the woods. When he was very young, his mother sent him to live with his Grandparents at the foot of Alkoi mountain, where there was never a dull moment. At all times, the happy and sad, the woods were waiting for him like a dear friend, (WIP)
