It could be said that the reason behind this ability is the simple - he is a creature of hell and produces hellfire within his own body as a result.
Because Conall is able to manipulate the creation and control of flame based abilities, he has adapted this to being able to spit arcs or globes of flame as a form of self defense or offensive maneuver.
Yet it is in canter form that anything the natural form touches is burned, scorched beyond recognition. Formerly known as lava spill from his first handler, the under carriage of the canter's chest drips and spills molten lava through the six markings.
