• Biography

  In college, she studied linguistics and english, majoring in the former and minoring in the latter. During her time in college, she worked at a library. This library was run by a "former" witch. Because Rose is incredibly nosy and can't NOT investigate a mystery, she managed to prod the owner of the library into revealing her past, and, reveals that Rose too has similar potential. After some convincing, she became an apprentice. After graduating college, and spending ample time learning the art of arcana, her master retired, and left the library in her care.
  
  Rose, at age 25, is currently maintaining the library, sometimes struggling to make ends meet. She is attempting to create an efficient electronic catalog, in order to preserve books that are beyond repair. As a side job, she does fake magic shows, spruced with little bits of real magic. She hosts these magic shows at her library to drum up business, and it certainly attracts children and parents for a while, but it's never enough to bring in the money she'd like. She gets by, though.

• MECHANICAL EXPLANATION

  To anyone who isn't familiar with D&D 5e, and the implications of the stats above and the magic system I'm going to use, I'm going to provide a brief explanation. I won't get too deep into everything, just the stuff that will be relevant to roleplay.
  
  The Core Stats are what defines a character, and the numbers provided are numerical representations of how good a character is at the respective stat. The average person, who is absolutely average at everything they do, both in body and mind, would have a 10 per stats. A stat has a number in parenthesis, which represents the number I will add to a roll if I'm trying to attempt something. A 10 would have (+0), an 8 would have a (-1), a 12 would have a (+1).
  
  You may notice though, that her intelligence and wisdom don't align with that system of numbers. That's because she's a level 3 wizard, and that gives her a +2 proficiency bonus, which adds a +2 to modifiers if she is proficient in something. She is proficient in Intelligence and Wisdom saving throws. This proficiency bonus applies to each of her skills, which correspond to a Core Stat. The exception is arcana, in which she has expertise, which adds double proficiency.
  
  Every time Rose tries to do something that requires a skill, I will roll a d20 and add the applicable numbers. Most of the time you probably won't see this unless you wanna. Depending on how I roll is how she will act in my responses. I still have ultimate control over her, but this adds some restrictions to her powers so she isn't extremely overpowered.
  
  If you're concerned with her stats because they seem too powerful, the way I rolled for them was by rolling 4 d6, and then I dropped the lowest stat and added them up. I also rerolled 1s, because that's just how my D&D groups typically do stat rolls. If that still is concerning, don't worry about it too much, I don't really use the stats that much except for when she's casting magic, which in roleplay shouldn't be that often.
