    Reaching 5'10", Taryn is tall and slender with long limbs, and over all the woman looks muted, washed out even, because of her pale features. Her long blonde hair was so pale it was practically silver, and her skin so fair it was like porcelain. But the most unusual thing about her subtlety colored features were her eyes, they were violet. Violet like the sky as dawn breaks, soft and calm; practically disarming when gazed in for too long. It wasn't hard to notice that they a little too big on her narrow face, but that was easily forgotten when she smiled. Her smile lights up her entire face and sets off and explosion of stars in the velvety violet depths of her eyes.

    Where her true family comes from, the Fae realms, unicorns are sometimes hunted. Their horns, blood, hair, pelt even their hoves, fetch a good price on the magical black market. Hunters caused her parents to separate before Taryn was born; her father left her pregnant mother in hopes to draw the hunters off the trail. But, unfortunately that was all for naught, because sometime after Taryn was born the hunters caught up with them. In a last stitch effort to save her, Taryn's mother abandoned her in the human realm. Before completely abandoning her child to her fate, she cast a glamour spell which would allow Taryn to pass as a human, but only as long as she believed herself to be just that; completely, totally human.

    After taryn was abandoned, she was found in the woods by a small child who had wandered away from their family's campsite. When the child's parents finally found her, she was wandering the forrest in a daze. Clutching a tiny, usually pale baby to their chest. When questioned on where or how they had found the baby, the child couldn't remember where, or how they had found her. The only thing the child was adamantly sure of was that the baby's name was Taryn. As soon as they could the child's mother and father called the local sheriff and placed the baby in his care and moved on with their vacation.

    With no one stepping forward to claim the small unusually pale child, and no evidence as to who she belonged to, Taryn was to go into the system. It was the sherrif himself that adopted her. He and his wife had never been blessed with children and had given up trying to have children many years ago, it seemed like fate that the child be delivered to him. . .
